Title: What are the important questions to ask when looking at a boat??
Post by: bluenun on February 22, 2007, 08:01:29 PM
Ok I am no dummy but what are some good questions to ask when inquiring about a boat. Since most are a couple hundred miles away from me I would like to narrow down my choices before making a drive
  Thanks in advance

What brand of jet drive/engine, has it been rebuilt? reciept? current registration? in the seller's name? How long seller had it? why is it being sold? tires good on the trailer? all gauges work?

And my pet peeve when I'm the seller, what's the lowest price you'll take for it?  >:(

ok good I have my bases covered. I hate it when I ask questions and I get a 2 word response. They must not want to sell to bad.

i think one of the big ????? is are they willing to take it to the lake with you for 50.00 if you dont buy it. As well as getting all the pics of the things you want to see and meeting you halfway at a lake. do not buy if you cant take it out to the water first. jmho

A motivated seller would do it . Especially if his shit is as good as he says it is.
