Many ways to run plug wires. You did it, it works is all that matters.

If you don't have plug wire holders. You can use zip ties and it looks good.

Little bit closer to being ready for this weekend. Cut, bent, and welded the tow bar to straighten it back up, not perfect but 100 times better. Made up a fuel pump block off plate since the local shop didn't have one. Messed with the plug wires some more. Hooked up the fuel line and throttle linkage. And a handful of various other stuff. Should be firing her tomorrow for sure. As well as fix the bow hook and tweak the trailer and fender to get it back on. Thursday is coming up fast. I need to do an oil change too, yay.

Got the boat in the garage yesterday. So no more paying for storage. And today I got my new valve covers on. Maybe tomorrow I'll swap out the intake

Installed my splash guard

Added 2nd layer of silicone to the transom plate.

Completed the double drill on the bowl & PD, added American Turbine 6" extension before last trip.

Was 1 degree down wedge, trying 2 degrees.
Read about bottom pin on PD HP steering nozzle being 3/4" above ride plate.
Pretty close to that. Ride plate 2 degrees up. Boat jumped nicely and rode higher than first time out last month. Started with a conservative set up to get a feel for this thing. 1st tunnel for me, 8th boat in total. Last 5 were jets, once you go jet there's no other option.

Ordered stud stuff from McMaster Carr for the bowl to intake.

I'm not a quitter. My list is longer than my time I have. I have to be in Escondido first thing in the morning for work and I don't know how long that will take then basically come home and leave. She just isn't ready. I'm not going to rush this time just to make it. Still need to fix the bow hook and trailer on top of the boat. Plus an oil change, run, then oil change to good stuff before it is ready. Big Bend she will be good to go. I'll still be out, just on Johnny's boat.

I haven't quit and won't. Got a few more things buttoned up and the timing close enough to start. Seems pretty low but won't know until I get the water hooked up and running with some new oil and a timing light. The pump is not connected either.

fittings are 3/8-8an 90* I can get them tomorrow and I already have tap and drill bit... Get that bow hook fixed up and tow her out. I will be out Friday sometime should take a whole 20 mins to fix up

That's not a 1/2" npt? I would still need to change the oil, run it, set timing, change the oil again, fix the fender, and I know I have a few other things. The Grape Mistake won't be making an appearance this weekend unfortunately. Oh and my front carb is acting up again, even though it's brand new. Thank you for the offer though. could be 1/2. I have a tap for that too. But definitely with you no reason to rush things. But if you change your mind I have a timing light too.

I found out today i seized my jet pump up pulled it apart today and frozen solid couldnt break it loose with a large pry bar. So off to the shop it goes
