Tried to clean up some of the scratches that the boat got during the recovery after the accident. 1000, 1500, and 2000 grit wet sand. Will hit it with some polish to clean it up more. Should be on par with the rest of the boat.

Not pretty but she has a bow eye again.

Now going to make the plates for the floater bar and new battery mount.

Cleaning up the gelcoat. It's cleaning up nicely but it's taking some time!  Any tips or pointers. Using a 6" polisher and a foam pad with some 3M Color/Gloss Restorer. Anything out there any better or quicker?

Punched the holes for the new battery box then bent it with the break. Also punch the holes for the new floater bar mount. Getting more wire for the mig then weld it up.

I'm going to be doing the same thing once it cools off a little.  I have a 3 stage gelcoat restoration kit from jet renu a family member picked it up and donated it to my project.  When I get around to using it with my polisher I'll post up some before and after pics.

Came home from work and found a tree on my boat.  Pissed off grab the  gain saw and hope no damage.  Thank god I pulled the motor last weekend. After I cut the tree free from the boat I was lucky no damage.  Time for a beer.

In the middle of doing floor work and cleaning up things.  Putting some cash in it.  I wasn't something I wanted to come home to.  But she took it no damage.  Lucky for me.  Wife still pissed lol

Made the plates for the new floater bar mount. The original had a solid round bar welded in. Thinking of using a 1/2 or 5/8" bolt instead. Will that be sufficient?  Also mounted up the plate for mounting the battery tray too.

Drilled and tapped the front plate finally and got the battery tray in. Need to do some grinding and weld the ears on but that will happen tomorrow when I get the wire for the welder. Then oil change and timing and she should be ready for next weekend.

Don't know. It is what came on the engine that Mondello built.

I'm going to sell it to my buddy. The boat has a bad stringer and a hole in it someone tried to make the stringer not come all the way out by drilling a hole and putting some I bolts through it.

Were they at least countersunk bolts so not to create excessive drag?
