The one with clear tubing is what we use for air lines on air brake systems. I was told not to use it for anything else.

It's the summit racing brand of "ptfe -8 steel, braided hose" says its good for a variety of fuels and liquids including gas and good up to 650 degrees and 2500psi. The -6 in the pic is fragola brand

Hmm well we use the same hose ends on both maybe we use something different.  Since it's only used for 130 psi and only air.

Put my dash together. Just about ready to install it. The wheel will now be moved to the left allowing me to install seats all the way up to the gunwales. This will give me way more room to access under the bow because the front seats were too close together. All new gauges and bezels in an aluminum plate. Use hole saw bit to cut holes and jigsaw to cut the shape of the panel. Then sand/file edges to clean it up. Fun project.

Had Greg rebuild entire pump and install new A impeller. Sometimes the old saying, "When in doubt, throttle out" isn't the best plan. I should have shut her down and walked her out.

Ran my boat on a cloudy day over a shallow area on Big River. I sucked up some rocks at full throttle while trying to get back to deeper water.

I didn't have any good luck with the summit PTFE hose and regular hose ends. You need different hose ends but if you get them it should work fine for you

I can't remember if the hose was to small or to big for a normal -8 hose end. But I couldn't get it to work

Got all the parts to plumb the oil cooler. Ordered ptfe hose because I'm gunna redo my fuel lines also. The -8 look like just clear tubing inside the braid and the -6 looks like regular hose? Both are supposedly ptfe did I get the wrong stuff? And I don't need special hose ends for ptfe do I?

Please double check the application of your stainless braided PTFE hose.  It is my understanding that it is not recommended for high-temperature and pressure applications, such as remote oil filter/cooler application.

The heat from the engine oil will soften the PTFE and the pressure will extrude it through the braiding.  Once cooled, the PTFE liner will be permanently deformed.

Each type of hose requires a specific hose end.

You want synthetic nitrile for oil,  ptfe for fuel.

PTFE is rated for below 450°F.

Technically your at the limitation of PTFE.

I use Synthetic Nitrile for oil only.

Gotcha. I'm planning on returning the ptfe and getting just the normal hose for the oil and fuel lines and using the fittings I bought. I always run half non ethanol 91/ half AV gas. And there rubber hose is rated for gasoline.  Thanks for the reply!

The PTFE hose will last forever with pump gas,but the steel ends will corrode badly.

Rubber hose that is rated for race gas will degrade and ultimately leak running pump gas.  Figure three-year life expectancy with Earl's Perform-O-Flex hose and pump gas

The "good" SS braided rubber hose has a colored tracer braid to distinguish it from the cheap moon glow hose.

Fuel line that is degrading will give off an odor before it actually starts leaking.
