Put a new ram on , old one had a bad seal . Just picked the boat up from a buddy .got a killer deal on it can't wait to take her out and cruise !!!

Vp metal polishing in Santa Ana off main and dyer. It's actually a prop shop too the fix and balance props as well $100 for all 4 wheels. Not bad

Motor looks good.

I've never seen headers rise that high. Were they custom made for something?

They remind me of ape hanger bars of a motorcycle.

I thought it was a hex-drive distributor on a v-drive cover. I didn't see a stub shaft or external oil pump though.

I have been dreaming about a setup like that with a gear driven dry sump pump for 25 years.

On further investigation, it appears I am tired from all that math in my previous post.

Try it both ways and see what it does. Wedged down, it lowers the thrust point ever so slightly.

they were a little custom. In a day cruiser the motor sits a little lower so makes the top of transom higher. We had basset make them a little higher to clear. When we got them they where way high. After a little bit the headers started to grow on us.
