Is it a Chevy? If it is I have a billit dual point distributor with cap and wires I'll let you have for pretty much Shipping. But I know that doesn't help you for Havasu this weekend :(
-
Havabrew? why not Parker? :screwy:
-
you need to tell the kids to quit writing on your boat, chromey.
-
Maybe Mallory/Accel ?
-
my motor is a ford 460 that's the dizzy out of it...havasu cause im shooting a truck show @ london bridge resort for the magazine i work for on the side......
-
I think it is a Mallory marine distributor (spark arrestor on vent hole).
-
bump....
i dont think its a mallory, i had went over to a buddies shop last night and he had some old dizzys in a box the mallory caps were shorter as well as the rotor, i did find a few old accell dizzys and the caps seem to match up but the insides were a little different.....
i did find a mallory duel point dizzy for a bb ford in there.....but its not a marine one....should i use it?
-
Using a non marine dist. is just fine if you have to. I bet most of us DONT have a marine disty
-
i think its a ford prestolite
-
just make sure you run your blower before you start
-
I have a dual point mallory you can have , let me know so I can bring it to parker with me I am leaving at three today to head out.
-
ok bring it...ill try to make this old one work for the weekend....ill be in havasu
-
That's a Prestolite distrbutor, they were used alot in marine applications. Pertronix makes a electronic conversions for it but sorry I don't know where u can parts for it in your area.
-
thanks ill keep shopping....and look around..

A friend of mine has one exactly like it in my garage >:D , well not exactly like it. :-\
This one has been sitting outside without a cap on it for who knows how long. :banghead: The cap and rotor are both ready for replacement. This one however also has an unknown brand of aftermarket electronic ignition mudule with pickup, very similar looking to the Ignitor aftermarket ignition module. If you want this distributor or some of it's parts let me know. ;D
