THIS IS A BOAT I'M EYEING RIGHT NOW. IT IS AN 84, 20 FT ELIMINATOR. IT HAS A 496 AND A BERKELY PUMP. GEL COAT IS A LITTLE FADED. INTERIOR LOOKS GOOD OTHER THAN THE MOTOR COVER WHICH WILL NEED TO BE REDONE DUE TO ROTTING IN THE CORNER. NEWER MODEL TRAILER WITH PRETTY GOOD WHEELS. WONDERING IF $6500 IS TOO MUCH AND IF SO WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD OFFER.

Day-um  . . .   that motor needs some love  ;)

I coulda used a low profile trailer like that last weekend

I'd offer him more if he promises to keep the horns on the deck  O0

I think $4800 is a fine offer but what he is asking probably isn't too high for the beginning of summer in So Cali

Is it me or does it seem to have all of the stuff like it was in salt water a few times?

This boat has seen alot of salt water. Look at the clean out and the rust one the braided lines by it. Does not mean that it is a POS just may want to take a closer look at it and if you still like then go for it.

I like the way it looks like he tried to spray paint the manifold, and didnt move the fuel line :sly:

$6500 is way too much IMHO (as you guys say).  Offer him 4k for it because its going nowhere for 6.5k

for 6500 or even 4k, i would have to pass, what is he trying to hide by spray painting the manifold, how much rust is there, the hatch does not fit correctly, why, the scoop looks goofy (just an appearance issue i know), look how they installed the trailer lights and plates, if he does that job that cheesy, how does he maintain the rest of the boat? with all the rust/salt water questions, how is the hardware that is holding the interior in and together look? how full of rust is the motor, do you really think he flushed it out properly after being in the salt? maybe i am being to anal, but that is my .02 ;D

I agree with you forke, thats why I brought the spray painting thing up. It seems like he is hiding alot :sly: :sly:   Stainless braided having rust ???    Hmmmmmmm

you can get a much nicer boat than that  for 6.5K :thumbdown:

maybe it's the performance sticker on the trailer making it worth more money :screwy:
