Title: Where you at on the 4th?
Post by: simidan on June 26, 2015, 09:01:35 AM: Staying in Needles for the 4th weekend and will be on the water from Needles to Laughlin. Will either be floating or trying to find an empty piece of beach somewhere on that stretch. I think the Avi is putting on a show most likely be there for fireworks. Anybody floating in that area friday or saturday?

One year they lit the Bullhead side field on fire. I had used little kids chem stick/glow stick things taped to my deck. Worked. Didn't get pulled ovet.

Dont think Ill be on the water for fireworks seeings as Ill be in a borrowed boat with an egg beater for propulsion. :o

Hey Dan, why don't you and the GF just come hang out with us all day? Then we get the boat on the trailer then save a spot for the fireworks on the Avi beach.. After fireworks are done we watch the Sheriff skippers attempt to put the boats on the trailer. Guaranteed a great time lol

Having a little motor problem that I'm trying to get figured out.
We are in a different boat now and Dewey & Bobbie are the new Daytona
owners.

I noticed! Nice boat dude!!!! As for Toby staying out of trouble, well see how he does at the Avi ramp after the firework show... We won't be at that same beach we've been at before. Were gonna take the southwind and scout for a new spot early!

Somebody in another post was saying the po po will breathalyzing all drivers suspected of drinking while driving on the lake. Anybody else can be drinking in the boat just not the driver. Sounds like a no fun zone. Or at least a less-fun zone.

This will be the GFs first trip to the river, EVER. I warned her how crazy it may be on a big weekend like this and that we will go back on a slow weekend to find a place to retire. :o

The plan for Friday is to float down towards the sandbar at the end of the gorge. After that we'll head back up and stop by before we trailer the float.

Had a drunk hit my trailer as I was sitting in park at the ramp.... What a joke!
