Threads like this are the EXACT reason I really hate photobucket.

All the pictures are gone :( It looks like he either moved/removed all the pictures associated to this thread. This was a GREAT thread with a ton of information, now ruined. I'm not blaming John as he probably didnt know this was going to happen, but this is why I stress the importance to not use a hosted imaging solution like photobucket. Please upload to the site!

Good to know, all my pics posted to this site were from photobucket. Although, it's not like my threads are helpful.

i just upload to facebook and link to their fbcdn, its not like they're going to go away anytime soon. no watermarking, no hotlinking to other site restrictions and the infrastructure to host anything i can throw at em.
or my own webhosts.

Doesnt matter where you upload it to if its not on the site....eventually somethings gunna break the link (you delete the album, or even your whole fb page because someones stalking you....whatever.
it just is a nightmare from a web admin's perspective to keep links alive.

on post, take the outside urls and download and store them and then change the links to local urls... done.

Sounds like a really efficient solution. :screwy: I should go dig back through 6 years of existing posts on this site for previous photobucket links...

Good to know I'll up load my pics if I post any.

And that's why I love the app. Take picture on phone, hit the button and submit 15 seconds later. Makes it so much easier then transferring to comp and then submitting
-
The app doesn't seem to let me load a photo from my album
