Thought I would share my weekend at work with those interested.
We had to replace a 40 ton Air Conditioner for a customer and they were gracious enough to give us from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon to get this done...

Keeping in mind that this machine was built in 1972 and an absolute energy pig, not to mention over 140' from where you could put a crane...We got to play with the BAC.(Big Ass Crane)..
that is 8500 pounds tethering in the air...

The roof of this building is steel trusses and acts like a trampoline because of the flex....So a lot of unknowns...
The crane, yes the boom literally flexes with the load....

Big fugger...

Pretty good weather, wanted to go floating in the lake, but.....

Worked 6 hours on Friday, 18 hours on Saturday, 14 hours today and she runs like a top...

I don't, but it does...The customer literally smiled.

The new machine is an engineering marvel...High efficiency condensing furnaces and 18 SEER AC units. Even if you don't understand what that means, it will run for 10 days on the energy it used burn in one.

We figure it should pay for itself in about 2.5 years. An entire year and a half before the warranty is up.
