What winter plans you guys have for rides . Other than the ones in the project section.
-
what plans do you have? i saw you were lookin for a diverter....any luck on that? gunna head to elsinor to test it out anytime soon? ;D
-
Actually I did pick up a hyd. kit . A few things I dont like about it . The lines seem wimpy and I'm not a fan of the toggle switch .
I really need to get the rock grate off and put a loader in it (was suggested). I do need to put the diverter on but before I do any of that , I need a GPS so I can get some real life numbers . The seat of my pants numbers dont really help people understand what is really goin on.
I spoke to Duane @ HTP this morning and I'll tell you what . He bout sweet talked the pants off of me , OVER THE PHONE ! He was gonna have someone get back to me about a snoot but I guessing he got busy , actually he was in florida. Sooooo yes I will be doin a little test and tune at elsinore and knockin back a few boat sodas.

I know they make a braided stainless line kit for the hyd. kit.....its not cheap, but I am sure it makes it look a little more pretty. 10 years or so ago I found a hole in the wall electronics shop in santa ana and they had a HUGE selection of switches, toggles and buttons. I will see if it still exists and let you know. I am sure you could find a replacement online as well.

I am just fixin up the current boat. I bought all msd parts and am having both of my holley 600's rebuilt. And if I can find a good local shop I am hoping to have my headers rechromed.

I'm in the same boat (no pun intended) as far as redoin the headers . I'm leaninig towards the chiney powder coat. I think it'll be alot cheaper too.

Buff the boat ...install some new bitchen valve covers I bought ...and replace all the faded braided steel hose..

I saw a boat last year that had black powdercoated headers and I thought it looked pretty sweet , but my boat is a beige color and I'm not sure if it would look good on it or not.

40 gets ya nothing......50 gets you to be a Jr Member and 100 gets you to be a full member.
And all of those status's mean nothing except it changes the title under your name. ;D

Dude , bro , dude , bro . I used the black engine paint that allegedly withstands a million degrees and of course it didnt work but they dont look bad IMO and they are goin have to get stripped if you have them refinished anyways .

How many trips did it take befor it to look all fucked up?
-

Well I let it get kind of warm one time on the hose so , about 8" from the flange is metal again but the rest has held up . You cant see the area where the paint burned off so i really dont care.

If I can get my garage done. I have plans to work on the cole t-deck. New gel, bump up the motor ,upholstery, carpet ,gauges and so on.

my jet boat is registrede in Texas. (as are all of my vehicles, $$$$). coming back to Cali in Feb or March for work. want to bring the boat. will there be any problems running my jet @ Elsinore or anywhere else with the TX registration. they are very easy in Texas. no rules on public lakes - noise, mph, nothing. just don't want problems with the law. (tickets) my boat is ready to run and it is cold in Texas. took the boat out with 50 degrees temp. cold with the wind but fun. can't wait to meet some Cali jetters. it is easy in Texas with no rules and so many lakes. that's why Cali jetters are so hardcore. not many lakes and too many rules, but that doesn't stop the jettin'. can't wait to get back to Cali and hook up for jet fun. please educate me on tne best places to raise hell. jets, girls, and party beverages!

spelling disclaimer! i am hammered already!

first off, youre comin to the right place and welcome :)
I dont think theres a problem running out of state boats on cali lakes. Its no different then driving a car registered in TX in CA.
Let us know when you will be out this way. We are planning on having some sort of get together at Elsinore in the late winter/early spring.
Looking forward to it!

I hope to get the motor rebuilt in my 78 Trophy.I really want it ready for this summer.I'm going to try to get the whole inside done like seats, carpet, motor. Then all I will need to do is get it painted.
-
good plans! any pics. what is gonna power your beast?
-
I think I have pics in the project boats section.I'm rebuilding the original BBF 460.I'm putting in the biggest cam I can with non adjustable rockers.I got a RPM Edelbrock manifold.I think i'm going with an 830 or 850 double pumper.I'm going to do a little porting on the stock heads. It should run pretty good.I don't know what kind of shape the pump is in.It's got a Berk 12jc-a.I'm going to try to get it going and see how it does on the water, then see how the pump is.I can't wait!!!!!!

I want to thank Tom at Jet Boat Performance for his awsome costomer service and making sure I was satisfied with my new place diverter and installation.

You cant really see it that well but I have a 1* wedge down on there now just to make the transfer of water smoother on the inside leaving me with a total of 3* up wedge . I'll run it for now and see what happens . Maybe I can get my hands on a snoot to see if that gains me anything and if it does then I'll make that purchase . Maybe I'll just buy one anyways . We'll see what the Ol' pocket book says .
Oh yeah . I would also like to thank Hallett Dave for his out of the box thinking ;)

Well just completed one of the winter projects that I really wanted to get done!! Just got my babies back from the carb guy!!
-
Not to rock your world or anything but they're not going to do you any good until you install them on your boats engine, I wouldn't exactly call it done yet. ;D

yeah, they are as good as door stops ::)
I'd say give them to me, but I dont have a motor for them either. ;)
-
Well the boat is almost finished.
Winter repairs.
1st the boat was repainted by me.
2nd was new carpet also done by me and that is the last FUC&*ng time I do that. What a pain in the A&!.
3rd was all new white face gagues.
4th got some free seats out of a 2004 skeeter and had reupholstered white & red.
5th made a center console with hidden beer conpartments, and cup holders.
6th candy coated the steering wheel, throddle pedal, intake, valve covers, exc.
7th installed red anodized grab handles and docking cleats ( all from Eddie marine )
8th had the rear seat upholstered to match and color and shape of the front seats.
thats it all I need to do now is change the carb base gaskets and get the new reg for summer.
Next is back to the vette, going with AFR 205 heads and having milled from 63cc to 62cc. changing the intake from the
78mm to a 90mm replacing the ported throttle body with a LS-2 Throttle body, going from a 3 wire MAF to the
updated 5 wire.
Last is to send it off to the dyno for final adjustments and see if I got the additional 60-70 hp I was aiming for.
-
So what have you been doing with all of your spare time? ;D
-
Ha that funny hotrod... Well In my spare time I been listening to my girl friend bi&ch and complain
about working all the time.
