Thinking the same thing about the "gay" part! I like taking my boat out by myself. Boats, puppies and guitars, at a popular river/lake, launch/picnic area---trust me you will not be alone for long with any of these three things!  ;)

I love being single and living alone---every-time I've taken the boat out alone, I've had Women ask for rides!  ;D

Nice stack Terry!

Had a Marshall half stack, very early JCM 900 series, awhile back, sold it to get cash for my move to AZ.

Looks sweet! looks like 4-10" cabs?  If they are, good for you, sound better than the 12's anyway, and they can me miked to get volume. (Mine was a 50 watt head, 1/2 the old PLexi head, really, sounded AWESOME!)

Mine is a Fender Dual Showman head (1962, and mostly untouched, except for the effects loop), and a redone Fender cab with Celestion Sidewinders in it. I like it a LOT.

Ray

PS looks like a '65 reissue Strat?

It's a '07 Deluxe. '55-'57 soft v-neck (aged) locking tuners, strap locks, 5 position switch + 5more, push in tremelo, 1962 candy apple red (came from Fullerton auto parts back then), aged noisless pickups. Had an american standard (black) at first this thing makes that look like a squire. Got a good deal on the LP custom $375, saw a black beauty the other day for $475

Never cared for the LP's, but you'rs looks nice! Too heavy for me.  Sound is AWESOME though! Only Gibson I ever loved was the ES 335, which explains the Epiphone copy of it I own ( Played 3 or 4 classic ES335's and none play or sound as good as mine anyway, so I'm happy)

Never woulda took that Strat for a newer one tho. I have a '62 Re-issue my dad uses  (Back east), love them things! My fav is my BC Rich tho. Had that custom made at the NJ factory, back then, in 1980. Ordered a 57 Tele neck profile with a Jackson style strat Alder body with a Floyd Rose. Love that Axe! (Paid I think $1800 back in 1979 for that and waited a year for it, but worth it)

Man we Jacked this thread all to hell!

Thats exaclty what my dad says about the LP, gotta have one tho. He had a thicker Gibson than the 335 all thru my child hood. I remember me and my sister sitting in the guitar case and we're both in our fifties now. He got drunk and traded it off for a Gretch, then a Fender when I was 20-30. My uncle had an early fifties Tele, when my cousin was in his teens the guitar got ripped. Seen earley Tele's go for 60 grand. SRV couldnt afford  his '65 Strat ($350) at the pawn shop so his ole lady (Lenny) took up a collection. That guitar sold for 800 thousand after his death. Guitar center baught it and took it to the custom shop at Fender, they reproduce them, ciggarett burns shitty wiring and all, for 20 g's. Clapton Baught 3-4 of them at a flee market, gave one to Steve Winwood and George Harrison, tore the rest apart and built "Blackie". That guitar after he wore it out auctioned for just under a million, copies avaiable from Guitar Center.

I learned "I wanna go home", when I was in the joint a long time ago, by Bobby Bear who Charlie Daniels started with when he was in his teens. I saw an interveiw with CD and he said he didnt even play and Bobby stuck a guitar in his hand and said, do this. The rest is history...

That's funny!

Pops does all those old Johnny Cash tunes. Loved Mamma Tried, Folsom prison, et al. Merle Haggard and Kingston Trio were some of his fav's too. Lol. Man I must be getting old,  :screwy:

In the 80's he was still playing out and everything from Elvis to Dire Straits,  ;D

Fun times!

Yea, right out of H.S. I had a '52 harley long ass ponytail, hung with an unsavory crowd. You see where that got me. Saw Meryl in Anahiem with the Strangers, was the best traveling band at the time. They hit every note just like the recordings

Yeah I know huh. Performers these days either suck live or lip-sync. The only one I know of that can almost always hit everything with a new twist and outstanding is Sammy Hagar, lol. The guy is amazing live. Sounds better live than on the CD!

A couple weeks ago I heard Metalica tickets were $910. I saw them here with Godsmack and they blew them away. 'Talica was like boom boom boom, recognizable lyric, boom boom, recognizable riff, boom boom boom.

Well, since you're like 3500 miles away or something, I was gonna suggest you bring a basic drum kit to Blythe in August, but that's a bit far, lol.

I think Terry's coming, I'm gonna bring the 12 string, maybe another acoustic or 2, Enginedoctor may just show up, lol should be better than the karoake at the Bar during Brad and Jen's Bachelor/Bachelorette party!

Verdicts out on whether Mike (Rivertard) is gonna go or not, or Omar (Beerjet). Nordie can dress up his ass, let's see if he can sing out of it........
