Title: wish my luck. Dyno comp this sat
Post by: AQUAHOLIC on July 11, 2007, 09:14:30 PM
well my mitsubishi 3000gt vr4 is one of 9 finalist to enter a dyno comp on sat. at mitsubishi owners day. MOD. in cypress ca. my car should put about 500hp to all four wheels. i dont plan on winning because there are a couple of evos in the comp and those guys are nuts about their cars. but i dont plan on gettin last either.

anyway wish me luck. and if you are in the area you should come by. there will be free food about a thousand cars. some historic race cars from mitsus history and some famous people. anyway you can google MOD or mitsubishi owners day for directions and info.

good luck on the dyno.  One of the fastest cars I've ever been in was an awd DSM from road race engineering in HB... ripping across the industrials doing four wheel drifts at 120.  I think Robs (?) little DSM would 0 - 60 in a tick over 3 seconds (3.1 I believe) ;D

Chromey, nice civic.  I had a '96 which I ran at Solo2 and track events when I found the time and funds during college (willow springs, button, sears...etc)  Fun little cars.  Too bad I always joked that someone should "unpimp" my ride, sure enough walked out of a buddies house and it was gone.  Oh well, time for bigger and better   >:D

we we started pushin up the boost to try and get 20lbs like we wanted. after some testing we found my walbro fuel pump is not big enough to feed the 760 injectors. so we could only push boos to 13lbs. and at that setting i put 410hp to the wheels. this is a good number because stock boost on my car is 13lbs. so with only one lb over stock we made that much power. there is a lot of room for more numbers. the next meet where i am going to push the car is in the middle of sept. it is a drag comp. we are hoping to be in the low 11s in the quarter.

exactly we are going to run a dual pump set up and push the boost to 20lbs like we wanted to. on race gas and full boost the numbers should be where we want them in the upper 500s
