Title: worked out some bugs this weekend.
Post by: AQUAHOLIC on May 13, 2007, 09:31:22 PM
well put the boat in the water on sat morn. and my brand new gear reduction starter took a shit.. >:( so i go buy another one. boat starts like a champ. well it is mssfiring and just sounding like crap. plus my fuel pressure is dropping down to nothing and i have to idle it back upriver to camp. so i pull it out of the water. and address the fuel problem. my filters are clogged and the pickup inside the tanks is all clogged as well. so i get that thing out clean up everything and put it all together. next i check the valves. they all seemed good. finally i checked my wires and fireing order. it seems i had 5 and 7 mixed up.. ooops. so i throw the boat back in the water and it runs like a champ. but since i left the engine cover off i got to notice a couple new things. my brand new intake manifold is leaking right under where the thermostat would go. i have a killer exhaust leak in the number 2 cylinder and my fuel filters are still full of muck.

so i am on my way to the parts store and i will be heading back to blythe on friday to try and solve the rest of these problems.

i will post some pics of this weekend tomorrow. i am beat and i want to go to sleep.
