your first ride

I'm in the process of digitizing 50 years of slides and in doing it I came across pics of my first truck. A 1966 ford pickup that I got when I turned 15. My dad ad I did a full restoration .rebuilt the straight 6,did all new bodywork and paint and interior,

dig the shag carpet and the 8 track player. Man that was so long ago and I wish I still had the truck.Let's see your first rides

My great Grandma's 73 grande mustang. She purchased it brand new off the show room floor. Been in the family it's whole life...

I don't have any final resting place pictures... But let's just say I'll never forget it!! (T-bone'd by an 85 Lincoln continental on the freeway, I lost)

First car was a 1970 440 GTX but sadly I have no pics. I have had two dozen Mopar musclecars and I don't think I have pix of any of them. Too busy driving 'em i guess.

First car was an '82 mazda rx7, it got towed from being parked on the street before I even finished the repairs. Never got to even drive it.

This was my first car. 1964 VW bug. 1600cc. Fun little car. Wish I never would have gotten rid of it. I was trying my hand at getting rid of the oxidation which is why the doors are red and the rest is orange.

Got it when I was 14 as a roller, was a birthday gift from my old man. Finished the drivetrain when I was 17 and started driving it junior year in hs. 700 horse bbc 496 backed by a th400 and a limited slip 3.55 12 bolt rear end. And surprisingly never got a ticket in it.

First car was a 71 nova. I got it when I was 12 and dad and I worked on til I was 16. It was a 350/350 10bolt posi with 3.73's. I will have to dig up pictures later

1966 Fairlane 500XL 390 bucket seat's,console shift (auto)...bought it from my Grandfather in 1980 (original owner) with 56,00 miles on it for $1000....Car was immaculate...It was just like this,only yellow....I don't have the photo's cus my ex wife has them all.....Damn..thaat is one car I wish I never sold....sold it so I could buy a truck to pull my first boat....1973 18' Tahiti..455 Olds..Berkley squirt!!

1986 T-bird turbo coupe. Inline 4 banger with a turbo and a 5-speed.
Pretty fun to drive, handled well. But once I would get to a hill, the turbo was no
help and you knew you were driving a 4 cylinder.

you didn't say the year and I can't see the tail lights

in the early 80's I purchased a 1970 Chevelle Malibu for 1300 hundred bucks / 2-door, royal blue body, white roof, 250ci in-line 6cyl. / bench seat grandma's grocery getter and built-proof. drove it to near death and sold it to a biker and am still here to tell about it...lol

Looks like a 72 Chevelle because of the front turn signal lights. 71 had a bar through the middle of them and I believe 70 was differant all together.

My first ride in around 89. I got it in Oklahoma in a field and scraped 4 coats of paint of with razor blades took over a year to get looking good and a buddy talked me into entering it in car shows around the Phoenix area. Sold it in early 90's cause of the got married thing..... It was a 72 Chevelle convertible and that was the last year for convertibles and only alittle over 2,000 were made as a malibu I believe if I remember correctly. 350 roller bored out 30 over, HEI, 350 trans w/ shift kit and 2000 stall converter, limited slip 383s. It was a fun car and got lots of looks.

Nothing interesting, my first ride is the truck I drove home just a few minutes ago. 2002 base model silverado crank windows, no carpet... but a bad ass a/c. It was totaled three years ago and parked in the side yard for more than a year, state farm cut me a check for 11k and I bought out back for 1800. I pieced it back together on craigslist for a grand and had it painted. It was my first and I couldn't bear the thought of her being in a salvage yard with dudes picking parts.

I was t boned by a lesbian driving a Honda crv for no good reason... At least I didn't have to explain to my dad that I got rear-ended by a gay guy. The resto consisted of a rocker panel from lmc, front door off another total from Craig's list, aftermarket front driver fender from local shop with the cheapest bid, a rear door from craigslist and a paint job for cheap from a friend in the business on the parts replaced only.

I still have my first car, got it in 1996 when I was 16. A 1969 Chevelle, at the time was a 305 small block chevy out of an 1980 camaro, turbo 400, and a 10 bolt. Nowadays its a little faster, 421 CI small block, and running deep in the 11's on pump gas and driven 50 miles to the track.
