Post by: Customguru on March 20, 2020, 10:06:37 PM

Go to the lake, Parker is flowing river, not ideal for a shake down run.

Site 6 is a decent choice, just not on a weekend or busy time. Week days would be best.

Stay close to site 6 until you are sure of the boat.

Remember power steering-
No power, no steering.

Hope all goes well.

Dan'l

And welcome to SCJB

If you dont mind paying a fee, Crazy Horse camp ground has a nice launch and is close to everything!

Have\ no idea where site 6 is. I’ll google it. I thought maybe the lake would be too rough for small boat? The boat is a 19’ CP. but yes agree river would be harder to navigate just if there are better/safer spots on the river? Especially launching/loading? I’ll be there for a week so I’ll wait till week day to go for a spin.

If going to Parker , launch from pirates . Launch ramp is in a lagoon and no current. Way easier to recover as well . When in April are u going ??? I might be there to lend a hand .

I take my 17 1/2 foot flatty out of site six all the time, Water is actually smoother on that side of the island compared to the main body of the lake, out of Windsor. Make sure you have 4wd out of site six because the ramp sucks ass. I was out there today, and will be out there tomorrow afternoon around 2:30 if you need any help

I’ll be there March 29th - April 4. Pirates sounds cool. I’ve always wanted to see that place anyway. The closer to the lake the better me and my buddies will be leaving our families in Havasu so don’t wanna get tooo far out there. Thanks everyone fo the advice. How do you post pictures? It’s for real😃🚤 and I’m stoked!
