Title: Flash Flooding Today
Post by: 74RogersBubbledeck on July 31, 2012, 05:17:06 PM
This was the worst of it on the way home from the strip today. 4 wheel drive with boat in tow, no issues, use the throttle and glide through. Told my sister to wait, they were in a Ford Edge with 2 wheel only. They had to wait an hour for it to settle enough. Been going there over 20 years and this is the worst I've encountered. At least 30 dips with water flowing across right past the stop sign. Straight to 10 freeway or right to 29 Palms. I went to freeway.[attachimg=1]

i dunno man.  4 wheel drive aint gonna help you in a sweeping flash flood river... they can pickup a car like nothing and you'd be screwed.  not something *I* would attempt.

stay safe everyone.

6 inches to a foot of water. No river here or pools. Cars had to deal with sand and rocks that went under a truck. Besides that when you see a truck make the cross from the other direction you know exactly what's going on.
