BeerJet turned me on to the Best western last summer. Very reasonable rates, rooms were OK, lots of boat parking (and great margaritas) across the street. Opposite end of town from Blue Water tho. Rooms at the Blue Water are real pricey! Are all the rooms at Bridge Inn sold out already?I usually do stay at the bestwestern and it's nice . Being walking distance from good food and drink dont hurt either ;) The blue water isnt very far from there . The kicker is the speed limit on that highway , it's like 35 mph so it seems like it takes an eternity . Believe me , the best western was my first choice but they did not want to give me a groupe rate . The bridge Inn IMO is the best bang for the buck . I'm a strong believer in supporting those that support you so that will be my new place . It's by no stretch of the imagination a luxery resort . I've stayed a few other places and relativley , it's just as nice . The breakfast cafe next door is tasty too. The cold wheather needs to stop so I can get crackin on my shit though .

I really want to go to this. How does the room reservation thing work? Do I pay now? The reason I am asking is because I will be finishing my degree in May and hopefully getting a new job shortly thereafter. There is no way to know how flexible my schedule will be or even where I will be working then. So I guess my question is can I reserve a room and then flake out if there is no way for me to go?

I TAKE IT OMAR YOU HAVE STAYED THERE MANY TIMES HAVE YOU EVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE BOAT OUT IN THE PARKING LOT. IM NOT GOING TO HAVE A TUNNEL RAM MISSING OFF MY BOAT IN THE MORNING AM I? ;DI've parked along side the road and everything was fine . That dont mean anything though . I did talk to Pablo and he say they have multiple cameras pointing across the street into the lot and they are open 24 hours so ....... Me and Jon had brought this up and we figured if anyone is unsure , we'll just have to look out for our own stuff . I've been paranoid before and taken periodical walks . Boat covers help too . If they cant see your stuff , they're less likely to pull it off and get wrenching .

we are staying at fox's on the az side, floating bar and all, seems to be a nice place, 35.00 per night with hookups, 928-667-4100, i think we got the last 2 beachfront spots, but they should have plenty more regular spots, or we stayed at the bluewater rv park for the last races and it was 25.00 per night with hookups and a decent place to stay.

Hotel: Its the "Bridge Inn" Formerly motel 6 . I've stayed there and it's nice and there is plenty of parking directly across the street . There is no boat parking on the premises . It is the best deal in town I think and the rooms are nice . Rooms will have refer. microwaves and jamming AC . Myself and Jetaholic have reserved 10 rooms each . You can call them directly between 3pm and 11 pm and speak with pablo who is in charge of our group and knows exactly what is going on . Tell him you are with the So cal Group to get the discounted rate of $56.10 + tax which is right around $62-$63 a night . The rooms I have reserved are for Fri. and Sat. night but when you take a room from the list , you can change it to what ever dates you want .

Missed you at Elsinore today Omar. Hope the milkshake thing is minor. I am officially ready for Parker. Cleaned up the boat today and finally fixed a water leak I have been chasing :banghead:.Figures I'd have a problem like this , now that the motor is so turnkey it scares me :-\ We'll see how today goes.

small problem i tried calling the place where omar reserved the rooms they are all booked up...sooooo im looking for a place to crash down there...if anyone else decides to plesh lemme know or if anyone knows any other hotels and numbers lemme know please i tried calling last week...its common of me to do shit last minute
just keep calling there and the best western and any other hotels....im sure rooms will start to free up the closer it comes to the weekend and people start to pw out.
just forwarning....i will be taking roll call and will be called out first thing monday morning for flaking. ;D

Alright you fockers, what have you done to get ready for this weekend!
As of Sunday I've installed a new fuel pump, repaired wiring, installed MSD 6AL, new spark plugs & wires, new temp gauge and a new bilge pump.
Tonight I started whats going to be 3 days of detailing the boat. First step, de-oxidation compound. Tomorrow Polish and Wed Final Wax.
If this thing doesn't look bitchen for pics I'm gonna be pissed. :mad:

What have I done? Well lets see....went boating with Brad, Ralph, and Ron on Saturday and that really got me fired up to go. Came home, washed the boat and repaired a leaky hose. Started up the boat and fired first time ;D. Thats about it. Is it time to go? I still have to try and find time to clean and polish my boat, but my theory has always been to have a running boat first that I can enjoy, then do the bling stuff. Two seasons running ugly wins out over looking at a pretty boat that sits in the driveway (hint hint 2SAV) >:D

Yes, it is doing exactly the same thing it did before I replace the cam, which by the way made an insane difference on throttle response ;D >:D ;DRunning a tunnel ram intake, right? The intake port underneath the carburetor has eight thread holes, same for the second carb. Drive set screws for the ones you are not using. I bet they are drilled all the way through causing an air leak; that was my problem. Hope this helps.
Intake was removed and replaced, but this did not help. It will be in Parker in a few days, maybe someone there can figure it out ???

i know its late in the game and a longshot, but does anyone have an EXTRA set of baffles for bassett twisties, that they might be willing to bring to parker and possibly loan/rent them to me if the need arrises, i do not have a set and don't want to ruin the weekend in case i get pulled over. i have never had a problem in parker yet. but want to prepare just in case.got a set of bassett shorties i can loan you for the weekend, let me know

ralph, thanks for the offer on the headers, i talked to chromey and he is pretty sure he has me hooked up, i am only planning on running the baffles if i get hassled, see everyone there tomorrow, we will arrive around 9:30am tomorrow and be at fox's, supposedly my spot is on the water. so if you are out and about stop by, silver dodge mega cab, white and yellow freestyle toyhauler, gray f150 (looks just like ralphs and toms (jbp)) and of course forkedup will be in tow, please everyone drive safe, we are looking forward to a great weekend and don't want to start off by someone having troubles or getting hurt :) :D

Myself and Jetaholic have decided we need at least one gathering this year so here it is .
This is not an "official" anything . This is not a SoCalJetBoats.com event . This is just a bunch of boaters getting together swapping stories and tellin lies ;D For absolutly no reason what so ever we decided to meet at the Blue Water since there is plenty of room to just kick back and tie off . There is also a beach , and of course the sandbar adjacent to the resort .
We have also lined up a deal with a local hotel if you need somewhere to stay and there is also a tasty breakfast joint right next door . There are plenty of gas stations , a super market , to get what you need there .
Myself and Jetaholic will be meeting at the Blue Water and launching from there as well since it's $8 or so to launch .
Hotel: Its the "Bridge Inn" Formerly motel 6 . I've stayed there and it's nice and there is plenty of parking directly across the street . There is no boat parking on the premises . It is the best deal in town I think and the rooms are nice . Rooms will have refer. microwaves and jamming AC . Myself and Jetaholic have reserved 10 rooms each . You can call them directly between 3pm and 11 pm and speak with pablo who is in charge of our group and knows exactly what is going on . Tell him you are with the So cal Group to get the discounted rate of $56.10 + tax which is right around $62-$63 a night . The rooms I have reserved are for Fri. and Sat. night but when you take a room from the list , you can change it to what ever dates you want .

I'm trying to be on the freeway by 3:00 o'clock
SOB, I went out to do a final check on the trailer ect and found out the Break lights dont work if the headlights are on. Everything worked fine with the lights off. I hit the breaks and the whole light goes dead. I decided to go buy a new wire harness for hook up at the truck as mine was a bit frayed from off roading. Installed new one same thing. Followed wires around noticed nothing irregular. Hit the breaks and fuse blows, relplaced and again. Now really upset, I know there must be a short somewhere. Followed wires around, checked clearance lights etc taped a few potential spots and I am back in business :screwy:
just got here....only boat here at the bridge inn is rivertard......went to terribles and got me a microwave egg mc muffin since everything seemed to be closed......boy, it sure was TERRIBLE.
off to bed.....
ralph, hit me up when you get close, theres a cafe next door we can grab a bite to eat before we hit the water.

parker strip was REALLY crowded and rough today....took my boat out past the bend and beat the crap out of it. water was so rough my boat would have probably sunk if i tried to float.
so rivertard, jeremy and myself put the boats on the trailer and made a trip down to big river. couldnt have asked for better water.
