I'll be going out to the north end of Parker Strip this weekend, staying at Buckskin Mountain Park. Weather is looking to be in the low 90's and shouldn't be too busy, but I like seeing other boats. I love looking at other hot rod and drag boats, talking shop and having a few cold ones ......Let me know if anyone will be out there and perhaps we can make some noise together... 8)

Had a great time this Easter weekend on the north end of Parker Strip, stayed at Buckskin Mountain park and hung out with others at River Island. Be back out there mid May for three days.

Nice. Was it crowded at all? How did your boat run?

Was a great weekend, there was a fair amount of boats on the water on saturday, but nothing crazy. Easter Sunday it was pretty mellow, we did a fair amount of floating from Parker Dam and hung out by Castle Rock ( Dutch Harbor) and the cove at River Island. Boat ran great, had to get on it hard to run a blown flat bottom early saturday morning, he pulled on me on the top end, I knew that would happen, but hey I had to try....nice guys when we caught up to them at the Dam, floated for a bit and compared engine stats. Water was warming up probably around 72 deg. we noticed the water level was really raised on Sunday, all in all a good fun weekend. Be back out there in the middle of May.

Season is early, plenty of time to go out and play. I try and go out to Parker at least once a month, but if I cant, I'll make a day and go down to Elsinore and screw off, not as clean as the river, but it's close to home and no one ever gives me any shit about anything down there. 8)
