LMAO, I'll Bet! Can Rebecca talk MY Rebecca into doing that? That would be SWEET! (It's gonna take that, she won't listen to me after I tried getting her up on ski's, lol, go figure..........She DID almost have it tho! RJ got up!)
Looks like fun! and not near the horror picture Terry told me about Parker!

Don't discount what Terry has to say about the Parker Strip, I just can't hold on and take pictures at the same time ;D

Yea? Try it some weekend.
-
Oh I have no intentions of trying on the weekend! I've heard local horror stories as well!
But gonna during the week at some point! My boats are wayyyy too flat (Until I finish up the Saguaro) for that kinda behaviour! But the parasailing thing I think Becca would get a kick out of! If I could convince her to try it! (Keith, Mrs Crewcheif, aka Teach, must be the puller, Becca'd NEVER let me try it with the Moo or other hardware to be named later...........)

A guy runs up and down the Strip with a deck boat set up with a winch line and parasail. $55.00 bucks for about a mile flight.
-
Man thats one thing I miss about Arizona is clear water. We have to wash the scum line off the boat after two days here.
-
I was suprised at how much more clear the water was during the week compaired to the weekend when the boats are churning up all the dirt :o

If I remember corectly the water there is relatively cool and moves constantly. Ours is warm and only moves on Thursday when the BRA (Brazos River Athority) releases water for the farmers down river. Its warm enough that we have been seeing crabs on the beaches and we are in northern central Texas several hunderd miles from the coast. I remember tubeing down the Salt river and freezing my butt off in the middle of the summer.

Great Pics!

Isnt Leplas Co Park just up river?
-
I like the moon reflection pic.

where would you suggest a river newbie put on? interested in a nice cruise, place to eat, safe and uneventful cruise. easy put on, low current would be real nice. Also not finding my truck broken into upon return woiuld be a plus. If there was a budget place to stay along the river near my boat that would be a plus. Probably a blue hair place at my age as I have no interest in the Havazoo crowd.
-
You need to come out to Big River when we do the next Unofficial SCJB Father's Day Gathering.
The problem is most launch ramps dump into the current flow.
-
The one thing I liked a out McIntyre was that you did not have to launch in the current. Not too bust either. Tony will even sell you a trailer already set up there :-)

sign me up. sounds like fun. I just would like to get on the river and have some fun with nice folks. Not to offend anyone, but I am at the point in life where I can kkip the pole dancers ,boozers , mega boats on daddy's penny, thugs and whatever. The less people the better. Kick back and enjoy. Since I have a old Tahiti, it aint no drag race either. Explore, enjoy, relax. Thats why I hit the water here in Az. I like my old boat and it gets me there an back with the old bbc making a nice rumpity rumpity noise that is comforting in its own way like an old friend. Maybe the river isnt for an old foggy like me.
thanks

Head on down to BHC-Laughlin, Mid week. Cool water, a few boat accesible restarants, cheap rooms, 70+ miles of river to explore . Big boats usually stay at Havazoo/Mochoppy, Quite a few squirt boats (too many PWC Rentals :banghead:). Lotsa room to strech out, flat water, float for hours, Beach and swim, Ski a while, relax and enjoy, Etc...
