Title: Tube float
Post by: cmayer on June 06, 2013, 08:43:55 PM
Heading out in the morning for the tube float! Anyone else going?

We're leaving our boat and the in laws are going to be our sober floaters with their boat.

Had a lot of fun last year and looking forward to more good times.

someone on another board once did the math on one of these tube floats.....it was kinda gross.

this is a summary - they actually had factual numbers.....

(thousands of people in attendance) x (volume of pee of the average person) x (average times a person pees in an hour) x (hours) = thousands of gallons of pee

then they put it into perspective....it was like 2 large fuel tanker trucks pulling up to the river and dumping urine into the river.

Last year I opted to sit out of the bullhead river float and hung out at a beach down river near Willow. Towards the end of the day the amount of trash floating by was astonishing.

Hit the Lazy Harrys float, (300? adults, no kids  8) ) Its been going on for 30+ years. The BHC float, 20-30,000 people, in its 4th or 5th year this year, and like Brad said, they 'trash' the river.

Usually @ Willow beach that weekend
