Anyone else going to be up in this area this weekend??? We will have 2 boats up there. Probably going to do Jack Smith to topock on Friday and then probably Willow Beach to Hoover Dam on Saturday, check the hot springs. Hit us up if you're out that way. We will be in these 2 boats.

That looks like a fun trip. Are there any restrictions on going up to the Dam. I thought that was a mid week thing because of rafters. Let us know how the trip goes and how difficult the navigation is. Hidden dangers. Safe boating nice to have a back up boat. I have wanted to do this trip looking forward to hearing about your trip.

From what others have told me and from what I have read, its closed to all motorized boats on sundays and Monday during the summer months between memorial day and labor day. Ive heard there is a rope that stops you from actually seeing the damn, some people said they have still driven up to the floating barriers with no problems. As far as dangers go, I haven't heard or seen anything, doesn't appear to be any big sand bars on the map. I hear the water is pretty cold up that way but its refreshing when its 110* out. I will post pics and let you know how it goes. The plan is to go that way, but, plans always change.

Super COLD. like cold enough that you'll jump in and get right the heck out. Seriously. The water flow is moving pretty good at the rope near the dam. You'll be on the throttle a bit and sitting still and car turn the steering wheel and go sideways lpl. It's a trip. I was only in the water at Willow while boat was in the dock and holly cow it was cold. That was last Father's day weekend and it was 115 deg out
