We're planning a boating trip on the traditional weekend of the Freeboard Challenged (the second weekend in October) which is October 10th, 11th and the 12th. Though most of you may stay at the AVI we feel that meeting at Glass Beach (which is couple miles up river from the AVI) will allow for better water conditions for our low freeboard boats. Feel free to use the AVI Real Deal codes to help reduce your reservation costs. You can also upgrade from a standard room to a river view room for $10 per night. If you’re stay for four nights you can combined the weekday and weekend deals but I believe you have to use another name (for example have your significant other call in for the other 2 night reservations). See you guys there and make sure to put you name on the list.

well, the first weekend is the yuma power tour.....so i guess that would work.

The nature center is 400 feet from the beach, but not a preserve. Bullhead and "preserve" don't belong in the same sentence. ;D

LOL It's no big deal. Been doing it for years and even the WIFE doesn't need a wet suit. You might consider going to the channel in Havasu where the "water" is warm. Just don't ask how it GOT warm and if it's really water......

If there's any chance that you think you're going to make this trip you should book your room as soon as possible. The AVI pulls these deals when the rooms start to really book up. You can always cancel later.

6 days left and I can hardly wait. I haven't been able to spend as much time at the shack as I wanted to this summer, so 3 days there off-season is gonna be great. The Stevens is ready to rock, and the Circus boat is more reliable than a Maytag. Time to burn a few gallons and hang on the beach. Ahhhhh......

I don't know about the rooms, but I'm sure there will be seats to be had. I'll have a few, but I launch upriver. I can swing downriver and pick you up at the lagoon.

I am not sure if there are any rooms left at this point. Let me know after you call them what they say. I might not need my room if my parents end up going to the river that weekend (I will stay at their town house if they go). I have an upgraded room that I paid an additional $10 or $15 per day for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you only stay for Friday and Saturday you pay $89 but you can add Sunday and Monday for an additional $69 you just need to book it under your girlfriends name. Plus you get all the freebies.
If my friends Garrett and CJ don't go I will have two seats available. I’ll PM you my number on performanceboats.com PM me yours. Btw are you still living in Cali or did you move to Las Vegas?

i decided to head down there yesterday...didnt take the boat...just to hang out for the night...anyway i met omar in the parking lot and me him and his wife started celebrating...what i dont know but we were celebrating..."included sparklers, hot cheetos, pork rhines, and of course beer"...then we met brad and he told us to be at the buffet at 7:30...anyway got to meet some new faces and just have a good old time...it was alot of fun guys really good meeting everyone...you gotta watch out for hallett dave he is a wild one...

It was a windy and dusty drive home.
When you folks are cleaning up your boats, don't forget to fire up the compressor and blow out all the seams and piping on your upholstery. I'm ready for next season. :)

I had a great time meeting all of my new friends and hanging out with my old ones. No pun intended Dave. Once Lisa gets her computer back I'll put up a couple pictures she took.
If anyone is interested a couple of us are going to make a trip to Parker for the Parker 300. I also have a room available at the Blue Water to transfer over to someone elses name (if your having a problem getting a room). Let me know pretty soon because I am going to cancel the room since I only need one room.
