Title: avi trip june 28th-30th pointers!

Hey guys Im launching out of the the avi at the end of june first time taking the nordie out there any pointers? I wanna head to pirates cove saturday and chck out all the local wildlife whats the 411?

Watch out for sandbars and rocks, there's some skinny water around there in the mornings.

pic me up on your way down river. i will be at willow valley. I have launched my boat out of the avi in the mornings and never had a problem. just watch where you are going. it is a fun ride down to the gorge then on to pirate bar. you will be fine.

I am not taking a boat this weekend cause i am going to working on the new place.

I ran from laughlin to pirates last Monday at 9 a.m.

It's doable but not relaxing. Floated through with engine off through some spots walking it through or planed out and mashed throttle through known troughs. I know the stretch well, but the woman was still scared shitless.

There's a number you can call to find out how much water goes through the dam... I just don't know it.

Holy crap sounds like a pain hey aquoholic I may have to grab you just for navigation puposes! lol!!!!!
Hey I thought that the water level was good around 8:00 or 9:00? my hang out is lower river fishers and hidden shores it gets pretty shallow there too but dont have any rocks to worry about sound like I may need to follow someone???

i guess i just got lucky everytime. lol i have never had a problem launching from avi and going to pirate bar. I am still kind of new to the area. I can navigate blythe with my eyes closed but now i am learning a new part of the river.

I have seen bigger boats than mine out on the water in the morning. so just keep an eye out and either go slow or FAST>>

crewchief is right the riv is doable around 11.oo but sty to the east side alot of stumps rock bars ect;ect till around 1:00 then your cool
