Ok so here's the skinny on the weekend. Everyone is invited to come out and join us. We'll be there the weekend of Oct 10 & 11 2009.  Here is the deal the hotel is giving;

"The Real Deal"
Fri/Sat nights in queen room
2 Breakfast Buffet passes
2 Dinner Buffet passes
$25 Gas Card

$89.00 plus tax.


I'm booked in there as well as Gil (Bow Rider)

BUT...the new job put my start date on saturday the 10th.

Tried to get Friday off...to much work right now...aint gonna happen. Have to be in Death Valley tomorrow, then work in Palmdale for Friday...might just tow the boat out there to the job site and leave from there, saves me from driving back to Ventura to get the boat!

Hey everyone, have a safe trip!! I would liked to have gone with you all but a buddy of mine set me up with a free pass at california speedway, for Fri, Sat, and Sun in the pits and in the suites above pit road, I cant pass that up :thumbup:

What a bitchen weekend, it was hands down my the best trip of the year. (Hi I'm Hallet Dave !!) for some reason that intro keeps popping up in my head now. My camera took a **** on me :banghead: so I am hoping everyone else who was snapping shots them can get them posted, what an awesome group of people There is no way I can remember all the names of people I met, but I wont forget the weekend. Mike (rivertard) don't be holdin out on the pics, you have until the 19th to get 473 of them posted  :-*, and be sure not to poke anyones eye out with that elbow of yours, a few more beers in the parking lot and you and Nordy would have had it surgically removed. And lets not forget the ALL new meaning to tailgate party (you should save the 1-1/2 gainers for the water)..Did the missing golf cart ever show back up? I think the casino forgot to tell the security/staff there was to be no partying in the parking lot because from what i saw I would have needed a bigger truck just to haul off all the aluminum cans!!!
For all the great people I met, and have met before I had a great time, for those of you who weren't able to make it......you missed out on a great gathering. Thanks to all who put this together, lets do it again soon!!!

i forgot to get the ones my chick took before i dropped her off i will get em sometime this week!!!!!!! just got home myself and what a bitchen weekend for me, i love meeting new people and seeing old faces as well...there was alot more to the weekend for me and the chick that was with me, but that turned out as well...i cant wait to see the pics rovertard took from the bridge...what a riot it was in the parking lot as well...as for the surgery i was ready cause he kept talking about it hahahaha oh well!!!!!!

First off, what a weekend! Hit the river about 3 or so Friday, burned some fuel, killed some beers, a good time and a preview of the weekend to come. I was stoked to see 15 boats there on Saturday, Glass Beach looked like a scene from the 70's/80's. The $250 worth of fireworks on Sat night, and the ensuing burns to the fingertips was a blast. The Sunday run to Park Moabi was one of the best times I've had in a long time. Great to meet those that I just met this weekend (props to 461 Bahner for the marathon drive), great to see those that I don't see often enough. Here's some random pics.

yeah i was on a roll there for a minute wish you guys really knew!!! the prego one isnt prego either eff her...the one i got now we dated about 4 years ago and i messed it up, and now i got her back so im pretty stoked...

Check the temple bar thread, flat water, private hotel, bar, ramp, gas pumps, beaches.........no POlice. River looked good, had a blast last time I did that stretch of the river.

I know all that TB has to offer, remember I'm the one that set that shindig up? I was talking to the group sales people @ the Avi this weekend, they've made it pretty tempting to move the TB shindig to the Avi, cheap rooms, discounted fuel prices, food & drink discounts, it's almost too good to say no, Brad & I will be discussing all the pros & cons of both places & decide where to hold the "So Cal Jet Boats Spring Fling". We're  thinking a Saturday morning run up to Lazy Harry's for breakfast, head down to Topock for some sight seeing, late lunch @ Naked Pirate, fuel up and head back to the Avi for a private beach BBQ.

hey wait a minute here i think that this was my idea, and im voting tb....should probably start another thread on this...i have no problem going to avi, but i really enjoyed temple bar this year...the drive is the same either way, but that weekend we owned tb, and just think you wont have any gaming losses there!!! anyway back on topic sukkas

they were building it over on the docks when Jen and I were there about a month or so ago. The busser told us they were building it for the bullhead tube float and I guess some government official (ie mayor) was supposed to float down on it.

As I am sitting home in the rain looking at these pics, makes me want to load up and head back out there. Thanks everyone for posting the pics they came out bitchen. I just wanted to say I had a great time, enjoyed meeting everyone, and I look forward to doing it again soon.

it runs/ran great lol, but one of my mains didn't like it. I cant believe the chevy's I have a shortblock I am putting together at the shop and this one was basically just to get me through the end of summer. Sat the oil pressure went from 60 @idle to 5psi !! I said screw it and drove the piss out of it anyway and it held together....blew me away. I need to get some pump work done a/b impeller and it'll be about as fast as I will feel safe in it.
I meant to get a hold of you to let you know I was heading out there again but time got away from me getting things ready for the trip. yours is sure turning out sweet, good choice on the color/scheme.

Yeah I got numbers...slow ones but after making some small timing changes on sunday it started to pick up. Going out this weekend for a lil test and tune. I think there is alot more in it, but we'll see.
