I know my dad’s Malibu has wheels on the back bottom of his trailer but has as anyone came up a good way to keep the back part of the trailer from bending, i did this morning :banghead:. Usually I am pretty good about it but with a lifted truck it hard not to scrap.

if you have a lifted truck get the right hitch to put the trailer in the right angle... i picked up a 4" chrome drop hitch for $5 at the swapmeet.
my trailer scrapes the driveway on the way out... what i do is take a piece of plywood and put it between the trailer and concrete so it drags on the plywood which is much more slippery than concrete.

I have a steep drive way and used to scrape going in and out >:D...if you take a 2x4 or two or however many u need and put them on each side in front of the tires right before the trailer comes in contact with your drive way it should stop it from scraping.

i have a 6" drop and my trailer is level but i still hits i am think of welding some more support and adding wheels to it

Also if you have a tandem the equalizer will move and the rear axle will come up and the trailer doesn't move. I have a 2x4 that I shove in it so it carries the front axle in the air on the angle part.

Mine is the same way need to weld some cross members on. But for now I just go out at an angle. Works every time.

Me too... I approach driveways the same way you would in a lowered vehicle. Once you figure out the angle of the dangle its all butter cakes ;)

Wow, that's funny! My buddy high centered in a del taco drive way, in a slammed super beetle. So much so we had to pick it and move it.

Are you running low profile automotive tires on your trailer? If so, a traditional trailer tire might be enough to keep you from scraping.

If you have a tandem axle trailer, try installing a snubber on the rear axle to limit it's compression travel. Works great.
On the race boat trailer we brought that into some pretty sketchy places. I ran a two pieces of 2" square cold rolled tubing from the bottom of the rear cross member to the bottom of the next one up, never got stuck on anything and we added a piece of plywood to it to keep crap from flying into the pump and it was carpeted so you could stand on it to catch the boat instead of doing the hurdles over the slippery trailer frame. :sly:

My trailer has the axles sooo far forward that scraping driveways was the norm. I would go super slow at an angle until one day all that changed, it caught. That rear crossmember was bent out and turned up. And yes, the trailer hitch was level and all that. The fix was re welding the crossmember. Welding on glider wheels and a drag bar. The greatest improvement came from adding taller tires. I got rid of the 14" and put on 15" trailer tires. I hardly ever drag now. I still can't believe it. I have about 600 miles on this setup. I can count on one hand how many times I dragged ass as opposed to every time like before.

where did you get those wheels thats what i want to do i have trailer tires on it i want to do 20's but no cash right now i need an fix it before the summer comes

You can get different axles that have more drop at the spindle.. This will lift your trailer up to the right height . I'm s tech at aros trailer I'm El Cajon ca if anyone needs help with anything trailers

I can't weld worth a damn. The welder who fixed it sourced those caster wheels. I'm sorry, I just don't know where they can be purchased. Maybe someone on here would know.
