Title: Help on color for trailer
Post by: 2savage4you on October 20, 2007, 07:01:57 PM
I am getting ready to paint the trailer for my Fantasy project, Boat is green and gold.

My problem is what color for the trailer without making it look HILLBILLY ;D

Wife say's grey or silver :o (trucks grey) i just have a prolem with that, dont like it. What would look good on that color scheme?

Have to agree...  can't go wrong with black and crome trimings  8)
Lets your boat stand out...

When you see my boat in person it does look like shit compared to the trailer . So now I need to start rubbin on the boat to at least make it shine a bit . I think of it as a pakage deal , make them both look good or as best you can . Thats what I'm doin . I originally wanted the trailer to match the boat but my gel is soooo oxidized and the paint came out like shit so once I get the gel in decent shape , I'm giving it back to competative to repaint and maybe match the gel .

Green was also one of my thoughts.

I wanted it to be different and green i have not seen but on a couple of trailers and it was on the newer trailers, not this old school stuff ;

But i still think its too much green :(  Why couldnt my boat just be white and it would make my life sooo much easier ;D ;D

I like anything but white or black, too common. I'm going w/ a color from the boat, whatever that may be. I'll also upholster the pads front and back of the fenders as well as the inner fenderwells. I kneel on those pads w/ my knees while working on the boat. Upholtery will match the seats.

Maybe if your planning on changing the color of your boat you could paint the trailer That color.
Then your one step ahead in the end  ;D

Green or maybe Gold it all depends on YOUR likes  ;)

My trailer is in the process of being repainted now.  I was originally leaning towards painting it white but the trailer guys recommended black.  He said the white wouldnt match anything unless was a custom color and that black would match everything.

He also changing out the lights to LED and adding diamond plate to the front and rear portions of the fenders.
