The old saying "you get what you pay for"
I was in the same situation years ago and made the decision to have Bear TrailerSports refurbish my trailer. I think it cost me about $2200 including paint, new bunks and LED lights.
What did you do to get the boat off the trailer?Sent from somewhere in Cali
I've seen them do trailers blasted and powder coated for 750Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
well if you have limited stuff to work with pull the engine out put it on a stand get some tires from A tire shop or build some wood cradles jack you boat up with a sling and engine hoist have couple buddies pull trailer out to 1/4 of the bow on the trailer low the back on tires or wood support then lift the front with couple buddy's then it's off...honestly a lot easier then it sounds but need to pull the engine out if you only have access to engine hoist, you can spend 100$ on one from Craigslist 20ft strap or just strap the pump if you feel comfortable. Bout 30$ a gallon of high performance heavy duty enamel. But you can always mediablast it and powder coat it best option...Where are you located at? Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
The engine is out right now. I have cradles already also. I have an engine hoist. Just seems scary I guess lifting the boat off the trailer. Sent from somewhere in Cali
yeah I was nervous the first time especially since my dad was like this is how we did it back in the day watch this, I was like oh shit here we go but it went smoother then I thought. I think you just need 4 sets of hands 30 pack and you'll be painting in no time. Make sure your cradles are low enough to hoist on to.Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
