Bunk board setup?

So I am going through and replacing the rotted out bunk boards and carpet, and upon inspection noticed that the boards dont all contact the boat. I searched all over the internet but cant find anything on correctly setting the bunk boards.

Can some of you give guidance?

hey oc, about a year ago i changed my bunks what i did was looked at old ones as boat sat on trailer and added a additional 6 inches in the front side and on the back added 4 inches to the hang off tail of trailer noticed it was easier to put on trailer alone without hitting rear of trailer because location of trailer in water deep or shallow prior if trailer was shallow possible hit of rear crossbeam, just a thought for you. also when boat and bunks were removed i blasted a second light hole in back both sides so there is 4 lights in back now compared to just 2 with l.e.ds now. so if some knucklehead is up my ass i hit brakes and it blinds the mo fos.

post up some pictures of what youre explaining....it will help us figure out if its right or wrong.

From what I have read about bungs.....you want to keep them a couple inches long out the back. This will help your boat from sagging in the rear over time.

Also, if youre seeing a gap between the boat and the bungs in the intake area, you might have a bad hook. Put a straight edge on the bottom of your boat to make sure its flat from front to back. A bad hook will cause some major handling issues on most boats.
