Does anyone have a drop axle laying around? A wheel bearing went bad on my trailer and gouged up the spindle pretty good. End of spindle to end of spindle is 86 1/2" and it's dropped 2 3/4"
Thank you!!

So, I'm going to see what I can do about repairing this guy. Any opinions or advice is welcome!!
Here is what I'm working with. First step is to carefully remove the burrs that are creating the high spots. Hopefully after that the race will seat in there nicely and not spin or wobble. If it spins or wobbles the next step is to carefully weld in the low spots and smooth with an old flap wheel.

The axle stub can be replaced. requires some decent welding (I can't see anymore 8) ) I've seen where they spindle cut off outside if the 4-bolt backing plate mount, and bolt the spindle on, backing plate mount to backing plate mount. (Does this make any sense?) Are there brakes?
Good luck

No brakes and I don't have the four bolt mount. Here's a pic of the whole axle.
