Title: Opinion on wheels...
Post by: GeneralLee on April 16, 2014, 04:39:34 PM
I was parking my trailer 2 nights ago and the old man that let's me park on his property (of course only if I pay him) had some old cragar wheels sitting on the side. They are 14s with a little surface rust on them which I plan on fixing and repainting. I asked him how much and he told me to take them. Couldn't believe my luck, I thought for sure there's no way I'm that lucky and they'll actually fit on my boat trailer sure enough...

Need your guys opinion Yay or nay?

Thx for all the input guys these definitely are keepers but what else besides rechroming could I do to these? I hate chrome. Would these look good in black? That was my plan from the get go.

Hit them with the spray plasta dip and if you don't like the look it peels off!

That's exactly what I was thinking but at the same time I'm pretty sure these will only look good polished or chrome. I'll give it a shot and post some pics.

Even if you can just get the outer lip shined up and paint the centers would look cool!!

Yep...Unfortunately 2 of the lips have some rust on them. Trailer is supposed to be black and silver. Was thinking black trailer silver fenders black wheels. Or the other way around? ??
