Gonna be replacing my trailer bunks. Not sure if I can just use regular 2x4s and weather seal them or if I should spend the extra money and get treated wood. Any advise is appreciated.

I've been told there's a chemical in the treated wood that's no good for your boat... Myth or?

Treated lumber is treated with Copper Sulphate. (CuSO4)

The sulfuric acid (battery acid) can eat away at organic compounds in you bunk carpet. And a small amount of copper goes into  the river/lake.

And the lumber still rots, just not as fast.
