This is a little to long. The only place where I was able to weld the mount. I was thinking of cutting this thing down. Has anybody done this. I have to take it all apart cause I need to cut the grey tube as well as the inside tube.

I would make sure what youre cutting through. I have seen a few of those that have a large cork screw shaft suspended down the middle.

I am going to take it apart before I cut it.
Thanks.

Any chance you can "flip" the outer housing over?, that way it would be lower, but still have the height to lif the trailer way up if needed. Just a thought.

I guess like this, you would have to cut the top off and reweld it to the bottom, mig welder would work great!
