I bought a boat with only a bill a sale for both. AAA let me get the transfer done for the boat. The trailer on the other hand didn't come with plated didn't realize till the deal was done. The plate number the guy put on the bill of sale was the same as the boat numbers minus the CF part. I can't find a vin on the trailer. Can anyone help?

The trailer VIN could be under the drivers side rail toward the front. (On the bottom).
Trailers are pretty easy. Drag it down to CHP, tell them what's up and maybe they can run a title search for you. If it was the original trailer, the boat would have been registered to the same person on the same day.
If you really get into a jamb, hit me with a pm.

GT thank you I will let you know as soon as I go to the dmv in a few weeks. The guy said he was mailing me paper work but who knows.

I checked on the bottom side of the trailer for the Vin no luck. I'm going to call the chp tomorrow and see if they can help me.

If you can't get it over there pm me. I have a guy that will come to you and do everything (for a fee of course). I have used him on 6 or 7 different cars, trucks, boats, trailers ect and he is good and fast. If memory serves me it's about 175 with new pink, plate and sticker.

I sure could use a guy like him out here in Vegas for my trailer. Same deal. I've been waiting since June for the guy to clear the lean, and send me the title to the trailer for the new boat. I don't have time to drive it to AZ to do a bonded title.
