Does anybody know about Uni lug wheels on a boat trailer. I have these vintage Western turbine wheels and thought I would put them to use. I'm sure I would have to put wheel studs but I can't seem to figure out how to find the right washer. Anybody have any experience using these on a trailer?

They are specific nuts and washers.
Look at the nuts Toyota truck alloy wheels use, you will need the metric studs to match, but they might be close to what your looking for. The lower shield on the nut should fit pretty snug.
Don't forget the Never Sieze.

Same here, or at least really similar. I recently bought some at O'Reilly Auto Parts.
Does anyone know a supplier for the "oblong" washers used on the uni-lugs?

I have a brand new set of chrome Supreme's I want the new washers for. They have that oblong hole a round washer won't cover.

You need a shouldered lug nut roughly .003-.007 smaller in diameter than the stud hole with an offset washer. You probably want at least a 1/2" deep shaft. This is just a generic search but its kinda what you need to look for.

There's no such thing as an auto parts store anymore.
Just glorified license plate frame shops that sell oil filters and air fresheners.

Do you know what length wheel stud your running? I know it's all proportional to the wheel, just getting an idea

Depends on the inside depth of the acorn nut. My studs protrude 1/2 inch beyond the face of the wheel.

Are the holes on a western wheel round or oval. I'm not convinced this is a western. The lug nut King on ebayb says I need l lugs for a ansen/Indy wheel.

I have the same rims. Take them to classic wheel in glendora, ask for Kyle 626-914-7725. He will welding the holes and re-drill them to work with an acorn lug nut. He will polish them too. Nice guy

Awesome thank you for the info. I don't want to put ugly trailer wheels on it. Besides its seems I can fix the trailer. Now the boat is another story. Is there a mechanic in the ie I can take this boat to and have them give me the rundown of things to fix and it what order

I got the wheels back from classic wheel. They filled and drilled the wheels, thanks for the recommendation! Now the next problem. The only screw in studs I can find at 2" long overall. I don't Think they will work because the wall of these rims is too thick and I can't seem to find longer ones.
How hard is it to drill the hubs to use a press in stud. Anyone done it?

Do it all the time, super easy, grab some cutting oil (I like the dark crap) and drill them one size at a time to the press diameter recommended by the lug stud manufacturer.

Thanks GT. It's a 1/4" screw in. I'm going to look at the dimensions in a little more detail now but would a quarter inch press into work? Or should I go a size up.
