Found this boat for sale, not a whole lot of info on it the registration lapsed over 5 years ago so game and fish has no record of it. Can?t find hull ID or tagging. Seems to be in decent shape has hall-craft v drive just wondering if anyone can ID the hull and if it would be a good project or a pass. Thanks guys. Only Info I did get from seller was that it was built in 68. Sorry for the photos best I have

I believe hull ID wasn?t required until around 1971..73? So if it?s pre 1970 it won?t have a HIN.
I believe if there is no record, you would have to have it inspected and then a new title will be issued with whatever info you want to put on there as far as Year and manufacturer. They might even put ?homemade? as manufacturer.

K-034 if that?s what it is people seem to say they are decent boats from what I can gather from google .

It could also be a Lavey Craft, both really good boats, they drag races them and circle raced them in the 60?s. Depending on the floor stringer and transom condition it might not be worth restoring if there really bad. The value of those boats don?t quite hold up like a Beismeyer or Cole. I?m my option every boat is worth restoring, but the cost is what it?s worth to you

Makes sense, I put together my jet boat together, learned a lot off the forum and some trail and error along with some from guys at the river. Still a lot I would change but for what it is it functions. I?ve never done a v drive though just figured if I built it I would at least have an idea what was going on , then I could get it out to the river like the jet figure out the right way to do it then make adjustments .

That boat would be a good start, and good to learn off of. It?s probably a heavy hull which is good, just make sure the stringers transom and bulkhead are in descent shape.
