Title: prop shaft strut alignment

a friend just boutght 90 ski centurian. only had it out a couple times. this last time out he said the boat feels as if the right (starboard) side feels like its riding a bit lower when on plane then the left, the right wake is taller and the spray from strakes. being a jet boat person myself, I'm not to sure what his issue is. he has not added any weight to that side of the boat, has seen no water draining out of, or in the bilge. the skaggs in the middle of the hull are straight. the prop shaft is not aligned with the rudder, but this may be design (so you can pull the shaft) any thought would be greatly appreciated. oh yeah, heres a pic of the shaft and rudder from the back.

My CC used to do that, they use such large diameter props the torque will make the boat lean. Go down a inch of diameter.

he said it just started doing this. are there any ballast tanks on these boats? or maybe a valve for them?

definately a possibility on ballast, but pretty much plain site...i know that most v-drive have a tendenct to pull to the right, and i am assuming that he is sitting on the starbord side of the boat! maybe he is starting to get the feel for the boat, and just starting to notice things!

That boat has a cupped prop on it, they were more prone to a rotational drawl. I used to work on a lot rope yankers, the best prop to counteract a lot of odd handling characteristics is a brass four blade....Be prepared to blow a couple paychecks though  :thumbdown:

If this boat has a small prop spray slapper that looks similar to a cavitation plate, they can be bent to make it better...I would just live with it. ;)
