Does anyone know what sort of oil is good for v drives? I'm looking at a full synthetic gear lube from valvoline. Something pretty thick I'm assuming. Like a 90w or should I use a 75w-80w?

water cooled? (makes a big diff) casale?

Water cooled and casale

guys at Casale say to run 85 140 synthetic royal purple. Talk to sam at Rancho and try some of his LAT gear lube shit works good in the VW tranny

Now just wait till they tell you how to change it. Stupid no drain plug having V- drives. :banghead:

Call Rex Marine. Mike will take care of you and he has the oil in stock. I forget what it's called something like lubricating engineers oil. Good stuff. That's what I run and a lot of other vdrive guys run
