Title: Something new - GoPro Pole cam
Post by: 1milekyle on May 30, 2013, 03:47:29 PM
Headed out yesterday after work to let my buddy drive the boat around and try my pole cam. Had the entire lake to ourselves

Picked up a extending pole from Home Depot. Works awesome and can throw it in the boat when not in use. Can't wait to try out some other ideas floating around in my head  :screwy:

theres gotta be a way to control pan/tilt somehow...

damn now u got ideas in my head.  the group would love some cool shots while they're wakeboarding, etc... putting it on the tower is boring.

Cool idea! The cameras are already badass, finding new ways to use them makes them even better.

Awsome !! now the key is to keep the pole out of the shot   ;)
I made a short one and capped both ends and it FLOATS with the cam attached

My brother did the HD route also. Did some underwater shots while ocean fishing worked awesome, especially when we got into a school of dolphin

I've been using a pole in the last few SCJB videos....really helps get some cool angles. Been looking into getting a quadcopter for some aerial shots...but that's $$$$

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using SoCalJetBoats mobile app

lol, was waiting for someone to say something...

That's the nice thing about a private launch, a weekday, and being the only boat on the water.
