Well the oil pan that was sent was incorrect even though purchased correct one. So have to change the front mount setup just purchased that and is being shipped. Not letting wrong oil pan stop from being on the water asap.

Yeah this has been a long 7 months but I know it will be worth it. Also for carb going to run the 850 demon. Still need to do a few things to the boat to get it race ready. Need to get a battery shut off, rope guard, and lanyard kill switch.

Well went down and dropped off the front plate today. So numbers horsepower wise are looking to be around 650 or so. That would be cool if it was the dyno will tell

Well everything is balanced all parts are in except main caps now they are being custom made for the block. Just fyi if anyone ever needs new main caps for a 455 olds the milodon 455 olds caps do not fit unless they did not drill the holes correctly from the factory?

Hey guys im new to carburetors and big block and im fixing up an olds 455 for a jet boat and theres a part that i have no idea what it is and i was hoping someone knows and could help me out. As you can see the plastic on it is broken and it seems to be something that has vaccum

Hey there,

That is just the oil pressure sending unit. is your oil pressure gauge working? your sender wire just goes in between the nuts on top.

405 TCO lobe lift is .668 with .016 lash for solid mechanical roller will come to .652
Intake 262 exhaust 270

Damn, thats a lot of duration even for a 496. What are you expecting for HP peak? im thinking it will come in around 6300

Yeah we are trying to maximum to flow of the head. We all know you can only push so much air thru them. After talking with the builder we are shooting for around 5900 or so. This is not the average 455 build lol. I?m excited to see what it actually does. A similar build was right at 5600 and 628 hp that had less cam and air fuel was lean

No the speedmaster heads is what we went with. We have had them checked over and are very good quality. And has them massaged a little

Little port work valve job flowed etc? they were purchased bare and have put them together with the parts we needed to make it work the way we wanted
