Over a year ago I tryed and thought I would help a guy from this site, He broke his motor on the big river trip ,I gave him a motor and said he can pay me as soon as he could ,I also sent a tee valve and block off plates and a good set of headers . Well still no money and I found out he sold the boat and got a rock crawler. Talked with him a few times he told me how things sucked job change and so on just alot of crap iam out 650.00 I ve held out posting anything for along time so FYI Daniel your on notice or as most know him as willowwog sorry guys dont be to nice . Daniel you will be contacted when you least exspect it

that's a bummer man! It really sucks when someone hoses you after you've helped them out so much....Karma is a bitch though and I'm sure it will catch up to him 8)

Yea it sucks for guys like us that would help someone out , and get burned in the end, been there have that happened.

Sorry about this post but when you say one thing and do another it does suck ,and I have put off saying anything for along time ,but come on
Ive made many attemps to get him to call but he has chose to just blow it off . this post is not how I would prefer to handle this issue .

Have had dealings with Daniel and all turned out positive...
That being said, I too have invested my money (which I had very little of) on a members boat and suffered a loss... Live an learn I guess... :thumbdown:

Have had mostly favorable dealings with folks on this site.
There's some cash floating out there that has my name on it.
I guess if I see it, it will be like finding cash in those jeans you havn't worn for a while.
Also a couple favors I believe are still good.
Glenn we are who we are and will still help those we can, and every once in a while we'll get burned.

thats lame :thumbdown: 2012 is a different time no has honor or fear cuz they would call the cops on u after busting their ass for them fucking u. there should be a shananagins law that lets u call shananagins on someone in front of people like their judges and u get to kick their ass with a no jail pass. talkin to someone on cpu dont make em ur friend some people are leeches and predators. My dumb ass would probly help someone to cuz its in my natureand I for one deeply appreciate all u dudes here for ur help and advise :beer:

I must admit I've had nothing but good dealings with everyone I've dealt with on the site. Marcsrollin found and mediated the Crower injection setup purchase a few years ago, Howard19 has fronted money on dealings at his shop for me, being closer to you guys, and even drove a blower down to me he found and negotiated the purchase of for me, Skip has picked up, sat on and delivered engines and other things to me, all the Vegas crew, don't even know where to begin with those cats, they do it all! Flytime even picked up a boat for me, worked on it for days, got it running, and delivered it! Crewcheif and I have had many parts swapping between us either at events or at the nearest I-10 eit to his home. Considering running Apple Pie for him to deliver to the PHX valley as a side job.......... :sly:
I don't think there's a members garage on the site that wasn't sitting on parts or even boats for long periods, and I have reciprocated in eyeballing, purchasing and storing boats, engines and other stuff for a few members here with no issues. I still have parts sitting in some garages in SoCal, lol. And I know they are safe. I've given parts away to many, and received free parts from many.
I have stayed in some of your homes on Boating weekends, and some of you have stayed in mine. If I didn't call your name out specifically, don't feel slighted, I do remember! but the post was intended to be short. Probably too late, so Ralph, Pat (Ibhsz), John (Glasscutter), Jason (Riverdad), Proppy, Jon (BrendellaPickle), Josh (Nordie), Branden(Nordic454), Brian (Boost), awww hell, just look down the members list and probably 70% of them I've had dealings with, met and was always a pleasant experience.
The Member in question I have met several times and can say the same. He has been the mediary delivering parts to me from SoCal to a gathering a time or two as well, and I have donated parts to him just as I have many of you on the site, and helped (Or tried to) in many parking lot fixes. This does not justify Harry's situation in the slightest, as this money to Harry was for me to build him a 460 for his Howard. Short block is together and is basically what Moo's engine was when I had her.
The Memories though! I remember one time Skip brought me a complete 460 engine I had bought out of Stockton to Big River. I hadn't even seen the engine, it sat in the guys garage for months, and then Skips for months. I brought my cherry picker and we pulled it from his truck to mine. This was Friday night. B-rad needed an alternator, so we yanked that for him and got that running, Chromey needed some spacers, bolts and brackets so belts would stay on his, so that's where they went, we pulled the dizzy and put in on another boat (I forget whose), the fuel pump went on a 4th......Rivertard had blown his up and we thought seriously about dropping the rest of the engine in his.
I guess I hope that incidents like this do not stop or even slow this type of interaction. Most of the members on here I have met IRL and boated with and their integrity I would hold above my own.

I know he has seen this tread by now and still no call . Ray I know in the future I will still hold true to my values ,and still accept someones word ,
I will still help someone when I can .Its like Glen said basicly money is tight and I could really use it .This tread was to be a wake up call but that didnt work
There are alot of great people here .but anyway thanks for covering my back as I would you guys when needed

I too enjoy donating parts to the people on this site. and i have sold some parts to members on here. So far i have never had a problem. And thanks Ray you are always there to help out. I am pretty sure the aquaholic is still running one of your carbs. lol.
this site is a close group of friends and i can only hope that everyone keeps the dealings fair so we dont have to worry about getting screwed when we help our fellow members out.

ive given away some stuff to help people out here, but i do so not expecting anything in return. and anything sold is sold at a fair price for what its worth or usually less. but i certainly wouldnt just give something away without some type of agreement, especially not anything over a couple hundred bucks... thats just a disaster waiting to happen.
these are toys, its not someones daily commuter to work to feed their families or anything. no one NEEDS a boat motor. if they dont have the cash to play with things that break, they should stick to golf or something that better suits them.

Sorry to hear about this bunk deal with another member, I've had nothing but good experiences with dealing parts to guys here and also buying some. I've even done the partial delivery thing Ray talks about and handed stuff off to other members to get it where it has to go, always great to know you can find someone to help and to rely on with our valuables. Like Howey said I wouldn't let this affect any future dealings with guys and I don't need a contract or written BS to make a deal, your word is good enough. Just remember, Karma is a Bitch!

I have been watching this thread, but have yet to respond.
6 years.....3,500 members.....1 major incident like this.....I think we're doing pretty good. Lets keep that in mind and not let this one incident bring down the moral of the site.
I know both parties involved. Daniel has yet to even respond to me about the issue at hand which is disappointing. This isnt the first time this has been brought up on the site. The previous thread Harry made didnt even mention names:

Was surprising to me also with Daniel ::) But he hasn't posted here nor on facebook for a bit, so a bit strange. Not making excuses for anyone mind you, just a little strange. This place has been great for me, buying, selling, getting for free, finding out about get togethers. Haven't had a problem one. Brad does an awesome job of maintaining this place, compared to the others :thumbup: :thumbup: And hell come to think of it, I haven't seen anyone banned here since ole rod >:D >:D

Assuming that the story is much as you describe at the beginning of this thread, what do you expect Daniel to say? Most of you who have actually met him, feel favorably towards him, so it stands to reason that his life is going a bit sideways. He apparently doesn't think anything he says to a group of guys on the interweb, is going to help him in any way. He knows where SCJB.com is. One day he will surface and explain but hoping it happens soon isn't gonna help much. Bummer but it is what it is. Until it isn't. Ya know?

Y'know what John? That's EXACTLY what it is, methinks. And you've met him too, I beleive.
But I don't think it's something that likely needs to be shared here, but at LEAST with Harry!
