I wasnt sure what this thread was about, but went and dug through honda1's recent post history and did not take me long to figure it out.

honda1, you do get a little post happy at time and dont post relevant things in threads. it is important to be aware of what you are posting at all times. before you hit the submit button, its a good idea to ask yourself..."does this contribute to the subject". yes, we are all guilty of sliding subjects off topic at times, but try to keep it under control.

This isnt a personal jab or slam on you. I want to help you understand what everyone here expects of each other. I want everyone to play nicely and get along.

Ray (IRrebel) was guilty of this too, but I have to admit, hes gotten a lot better lately. (thank you)

keep in mind, post quality is better then post quantity. you dont have to post on every thread you read.

...and of course, the above mentioned goes for everyone here. not just you honda1.  ;)

LOL Ralph!! THAT is humour, and I still bruise easily!!  ::)

Brad is 100% right. I am probably the most guilty of all of it. Not even gonna go there! But I think maybe you are falling into the trap I set and put myself into about 7 months ago with this.

It's just very easy to read things on here and jump in thinking it's a conversation, not posts. It's just that same relaxed atmosphere that makes it so welcoming as well. What makes it easily being taken the wrong way is it ISN'T a face to face or group conversation, per se. Beleive me, half your posts would probably be VERY funny in person! (Some are anyway, I know the ones aimed at me I thought were funny! Even from a guy that's never seen Moo or met me, but that's me). Just be careful of what CAN be read into your posts. They can say Blue, and read Red.  :banghead:

Harry, we all welcome you here, and are glad you ARE here. As far as cliques? don't really exist, to my mind, its a perception. A lot of us get away with many many comments towards each other because we have all met and spent time in person, and we can almost predict when one of us will post on a subject and kinda tongue in cheek us. Glasscutter, Skip, OC2  Nordie and many more nail me good every time, relentlessly, but I don't hold them in any higher regard than anyone else on the site. I love those guys! And they know I'm never serious either. Actually, I should be checked, I need to have a more serious side now that I think about that!  ;).

I look forward to meeting you and seeing you at some of this summers events. SCJB or not. I did not research anything as Brad did, nor do I care to. I pretty much can figure out what happened from the subject matter from experience.

Ray

That's true Tony, lol. They do tend to read like novels. Need to work on that   But adds more to my point that only a true friend would point that out so candidly.  ;)

But the siggy line part was not where I was going with it, LMAO Ralph!   THAT is FUNNY!

Honda1, my opinion has more to do with trying to read some of your posts than the content.  Meaning that some of the stuff you write is difficult to read.  It is very important to re-read what you wrote before posting.  I rewrite a lot of my posts to make sure it comes out right.

I have been hanging around here for nearly 3 years and enjoy helping out when I can and have learned to keep my mouth shut when I don't know for sure.

When you have a question its best to use the SEARCH to see if you can find an existing thread with the answers you need.  If nothing comes up or it seems really old, start a new thread and ask away.

As for the "clicks",  It really isn't that way, but many of us have met at the races or one of the unofficial SCJB gatherings and have a more friend based relationship than just an on-line one.  Hope you're able to make it out to one of the get togethers coming up soon.

I agree with CChief, there are no cliques here, hell there aren't all than many active members to start with (but we're working on world domination!)   Oh shit I wasn't supposed to say nuttin'.
Many of these guys have spent long hours together late night wrenching on each other's shit and shared cases of beer too numerous to count with each other.  It forms a familiararity that is hard to duplicate on the net.  Like others have already said, c'mon out to some of the events and meet some folks, I guarantee that almost everyone will offer you a cold boat soda and a tall story.   Boaters are generally good people.  I went to the TPMO 3 years ago and had the good luck to meet Brian Busby.  He walked me around and literally intoduced me to at least 15 people, and we had never met before then.
Listen to IRRebel about the posting thing.  We all need a little help staying between the lines from time to time, don't sweat it.  In 3 years I have only seen 1 member here leave because he felt "butt hurt".   Temple Bar next month isn't looking to doable for many of us, but Blythe around Easter is shaping up to look great.   Mark it on your calendar and c'mon down.    Resistance is futile . . . You will be assimilated.

Oh, and my wife is from Torrance, but she was able to escape before having to attend South High.   O0

I like the comments on Moo! Kinda why I like the boat,  ;D.

Two things were commonly said at Temple Bar last year. "Wow, the Moo Boat is here" and "Who the hell would paint a boat like that"  :-\

I think the latter was HDRider..........lol.

No worries bud! Just tryin to help.
