How about 85MPH?
« on: June 01, 2008, 12:24:00 PM »
Just curious, how about 85 MPH?, my little boat seems to be allergic to anything above 83 on a Garmin, hey maybe its my GPS thats allergic ;D, There aren't too many places in my neck of the woods to go that fast so only get to find out a couple of times a year. But now that I have a snoot, rideplate and stainless "A" I should be there (especially if I pull the mufflers) Thought this would be interesting because this is the second boat I had that has the same "sweet spot" Must be  Chevy thing ::). I'm thinking 426" Hemi ;D :screwy:

Amen! Worked for a Chrysler dealer in my youth (15 years ago, I'm not that old!) and got to work on all of the Classics for a collector, got to drive and work on three different factory Hemi's in one week, had no clue how cool that job was until much later! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Mine did 49 mph on the GPS for about 3 1/2 hours before it melted. Uhmmm... that's all I got.  :P

It takes a great engine to do 83, there's nothing wrong with that.
