I put this in the War Zone cuz I don't know where this is gonna go...
OK so the epic weather and the "Rat Race" combined to over power me and I split work early Fri. and me and the family run to Blythe. Me and the wife seriously need some relaxation, but she has to be home early Sat. to get up at 5 for work Sun. AM. Get to Blythe just a bit too late to put boat in the water AND I forgot to put gas in the boat before we left Blythe soo by the time we do that on Sat its now 8 am. Go back into town for gas, race back to Mayflower, drop boat and SHIT DEAD BATTERY. I had it on the charger overnite before we left -- how the f#@k can this be? Its now like 10am before we actually get on the water!!!
So we motor around a bit and then head upriver to find a nice place for the kids to play and me and the wife to get some sun and "adult time". We find a nice beach about 40 yards long and put ashore. For 2 hours we only saw 3 fishing boats go by. I am thru 5 or 6 boat sodas and then my wife finds the missing Jack D and I throw a couple of those back. About the time we break out lunch this friggin Bennington comes in way too hot, bad 80's pop blaring out of the stereo, and 4 adults and 6 kids land on my beach. I have to get up and push my boat out so it doesn't beat itself up on the shore and hold it for quite a bit. Then I never can get it back as secure as it had been before. It is all I can do not to go tell these people WTF!?!?
I have to hold my wife back and she is kinda holding me back. I am 6'6" and about 285 and when I go off sometimes people get a little crazy, and don't take things quite right. I really don't want to make a huge scene in front of all these kids, and I know these jokers have never learned any manners BUT DAMN these people have seriously ruined my day. Eventually they turned the music off and they all stayed down at the other end of the beach. After an hour or so they got very peaceful and not bothersome at all. So I guess what I want to know is how should I have handled this? Should I have go loco? Start yelling or just calmly tell the guy to find another beach. Say nothing? Say hi and offer him a beer? I am right for not wanting to share 40 yards of beach? Flame on
