OK don't want to appear naive  but regularly I see "Chat 1 user " does this mean someones talking to them selves in there ? or is this like sitting in an empty bar hopin someone will show up ? just askin' 

there is a popup that comes up that logs you out. so if someone goes in there with their popup blocker on, it blocks the popup and doesnt propperly log them out.

even though it says there is someone in there, it most likely means they arent....and if you notice they drop out just as you log in...it means you just bumped their 'ghost' session.
