So, after not having much success with the shirt design contest, I decided to outsource the shirt designs. I had REALLY good work done for the shirt that I put up for sale on Monday. It was an artist out of the Philippians that had never seen a jetboat in his life. He knocked it out of the park on the first attempt. I had a few changes, but he impressed me from the beginning. I tried to get him to work on the second shirt (the SCJB 2014 Tour Shirt), but he wouldnt bid on it, so I awarded it to a guy in Pakistan....and well, it didnt work out quite as well.
Below are some of the designs that were created. They are so bad I had to share. I have since opened up a dispute against the milestone (their escrow type payment system) and I hope I dont have to pay this guy a dime.
Since when does a ship represent a jet boat? I gave him multiple examples (pics) of jet boats I wanted used for the design.
Also, notice the map. not one of the spots on it is even near the CA/AZ boarder. One if them is listed as "AZ" but is in Colorado! I even provided them with a map marking the locations of each event.
That being said, I dont know if I will be able to get the SCJB 2014 Tour shirts made in time for the first event.

Oh my gosh Brad.... I know this is frustrating for you, but I couldn't help laugh out loud. I know it's not, but someone would almost think this was supposed to be a bad joke! GO WIND SAILERS AND PIRATE SHIPS! 😳 lol

The last two designs are kind of along the lines I was thinking :o
I'm guessing by the fact that some of our stops appear to be in Colorado they don't have google maps over there :screwy:

Thanks for sharing Brad, I like the third one, the SCJB skull on the little sailboat is hilarious !!!
We're gonna need some matching stickers though. O0
If it all goes bad and you have to pay for the design, you could always raffle them off at the events as " limited editions ". :sly:
Just wait until later in the evening... when everybody is back at the parking lot and the thought process
has, you know, slowed down a bit.   >:D
Wait, maybe you could sell them in a frame like football jerseys, or I think they would look great stapled
on the ceiling of Lazy Harrys or Catfish or Dumas or..... I know huh ! I could be like a marketing consultant or something.
Sorry B-rad, I'm just being stupid. Good luck on the real shirts. I like the idea of the river stops on the tour design.
