Title: Nother Newbie to the site...
Post by: Steve-O on July 19, 2015, 01:02:21 PM
Hey everybody. Great forum, really enjoy the personalities and input here. I've been a river rat from birth (even tho we live in Huntington Beach). Just started a major resto on our 78' Rogers 18'; my Dad bought it brand new from Roger when I was 2 and I've still got it. Doing the whole thing complete including the original Gireaux trailer. We boat mainly in Needles and Lake Havasu; current family boat is a Malibu Wakesetter-that's the last I'll talk about that boat here ;). Anyway, looking forward to rapping with you and meeting up once our Rogers is finished.

Thanks guys. She's a little rough right now, but the pics will make for some great before and afters.. Pump is getting worked over by Tom Peterson at Peterson Marine in Havasu. The hull will be back in CA after our trailer gets finished for the glass work, gel and paint.

Btw-nice looking boats to both of you. Still figuring out a good scheme to put on our boat.

Nice float, roger liked his orange. I have the same  factory brown trailer. Is that the original scoop from roger?

It's so cool to see people keep the boats in the family for so many years. That's what I'd love to do with my dad's 19' Eliminator Daytona. But you've got a nice boat and will definitely be worth the restoration work in the end. Be sure to post progress pics!
