very cool!!
I think so too. O0

Outboard powered sand rail, wtf. [attachimg=2] I didn't know people used sand rails for fishing ! ??? But, it does mean one more person got smart and ripped a two smoke off there boat to get a real motor !!! [attachimg=1]
-
you got one thing right, people are getting smarter by going to a outboard for power! O0
-
Well, as long as there NOT hanging them on the back of boats I have no problem with them ! ;D ;D
btw. I have a 3.4 L / 300hp merc you could buy if you want to build one of these . ;) ;D

You got that right...Someone ripped an outboard motor off a boat two smoke big blocks like yours in the sand...I bet there are alot of people that like to work on their big blocks in the dunes like propless and see the outboard and get scared knowing that they are going to be sucking hind tit...Not only on the water...But in the sand....Fish tacos anyone? ;D
-
Got side tracked...Almost forgot...That rail is BADASS! :o :o >:D Bet it's pushin' close ta' 450hp outta that lite motor!
-
I bet more like 600+ ;D
-
Just from watching buggies in the dunes from a third party perspective. I noticed that the subaru or Honda powered long travel buggies seem to handle, and turn faster than the V8 buggies. You can definetely tell the difference with that much weight difference in the back
-
But not a V8 outboard ;D
-
car motor V8, Yes. But for a daul sport car or running in the hard pac. V8 are better, just because you need more weight. just my .02 ;)

You must be brain damaged from breathing to much two stroke smoke, or from pulling your own starter rope to many times!! The only thing that scares anybody about outboards is that one may burst into flames trying to start it, or that one might fall off a boat and land on my foot !! ;D
But I do like that sandrail, I wonder if thay had to custom make the pieces to adapt to the transaxle or if someone makes them .
-
I think Eric had someone make it for him.
-
600? Really? That's a pretty crazy little bastard. Someone definitely spent some money getting that much power outta that little thing.
One of my buddies has a 5 seater funco with the 2.0 Subaru at 38lbs of boost it's hitting 480HP at the flywheel.

I think it's from pulling my own starter rope to many times...The practice sure helps when I pull on yer moms g-string :o...Did you know what the number one reason for visits to the podiatrist is....Outboards fall on peoples feet ::) And talk about brain damage...I'm sure there is some company raking in millions making adapter kits to mate an outboard with a transaxle...Hell...I hear there is a waiting list ::) ::)
