Fuck...all this talk makes me not want to get married! haha. I feel for you man. It must suck to have to get rid of something you love so much...the boats I mean. So far my girlfriend is cool about the boat. She has actually put some of her money into it as well. She doesnt enjoy boating that much so far. She was brought up in a strict Asian household and never really did anything fun. She just studied and worked hard and now owns a couple businesses. The great thing is; and dont tell her I said this but with her now running a second business she cant go to the river with me as much this summer More fun for me. haha. I know that sounds bad.

When it comes to relationships I'm VERY old'school. I open the doors, pull out/push in the chair, hold her hand and walk her through tricky footing area's. I provide and protect and do not hit girls, And having that said, I also wear the Pants. I own the house's,properties and business so it's my way or highway.

Girls have a tendency to start off meek, weak and submissive but will take over as time goes by if you let them, I choose not to. I will not get married and I don't take senseless drama, Sandy has tested my patience in the early years and she ended up in a motel for over a week, And she wanted back sooner, Now knows she won't be aloud back next time.

Key is don't give them anything to bitch about, Don't have money, time to get to f@cking work and provide, Drinking to much, Cut down to w/ends only, Someone giving your lady shit, stand up for her with all you got and her respect will soon follow and then she will also follow your lead, But remember your leading but her opinion that you listen to may/could sway, change the direction.

Have to be honest also, No trust = No relationship. And Make her LOL every day many times a day, If she trust you, trusts you to keep her safe and happy, She will be and make you happy.

That is how I read it too.   He is saying the same thing Roy did, just kind of 180 opposite.   If you scream, hurt, humiliate, offend etc.  that comes from a man's weaknesses not his strengths.   They are both solid advice, although if I ever tried to make my wife stay at a motel for a week, I don't think the relationship would ever be the same.

Hi guys Iam with you GC ,  My post was intended to lift the spirits of a fellow boater who seemed to be having a hard time excepting the reality of sacrafice of alot of cool stuff he collected over time .Its a bummer that most of us are having to go through very hard times and having the worrie of young kids , After all are family is are most important assets in hard times . And if my job would let me I would give the guy the trip i got to the big Island and watch the kids so he and his wife can spend some alone time and reconnect . It sucks my posts are misunderstood or deleted ,but most of you understood what i ment .
