Cold weather people i got to thinking about you guys today....when it suddenly dawned on me i been out 4 times already this year on the boat! i dont know if this is pouring salt in a wound...or just the fact that i feel bad for you guys!

Thanks!! Last week really got me excited for boating to start up.. but today made me remember where I live. I was working right next to Shaver Lake today and got snowed on ALL day. Coming back home I passed Bass Lake and saw it snowed there a little too. It'll be awhile before I make my first trip.

I went out Sunday and had a great time. Killed a bunch of VO and soaked up 6 hours of 85 degree March sunshine. It was just too friggin' easy from start to finish. Guys like Jrork and TJS have me jealous of their rides but not their environment. >:D

Had you brought this up a week ago, it would have been salt in a wound. It had been sunny for two weeks and close to eighty degrees. I finally mustered up the energy to get the boat ready and went out for the first time on Sunday. See the link below...

...Thank goodness I did because by Sunday night was the start of another storm system that's still passing through. I've definitely found myself spending much more time on the boards lately and noticed other people have been too.
The boating bug has bit again! >:D

Hay Nordie back away from the salt with your hands in your pockets ;D :screwy:

Snow and ice has been gone for weeks here in Pa, high 70's and sunny this weekend, The winter does not bother me till about March when it does start to get old, Actually I Love the change of seasons, I snow and water ski, snowmobile, quad, icefish, ice-skate and hunt but I guess my favorite is horseback riding in the snow on a full moon night, you can walk right up on deer and other wildlife.
Use to travel a lot when I was younger and I even spent a few months of my life living in Cal, OC, My Uncle lived there and I came and stayed with him a few weeks at a time several times in my life. And I also done Vegas 3 times gambling before it was legal in Pa, Trust Me, I'll take the snow for 4 months to play in instead of Your 4 months of deadly summer heat, Land slides when it does rain, wildfires every year, crime rate and high taxes and cost of living and stiff regulations on everything. What I'm saying is I been from coast to coast in U.S and Canada, Been to Mexico 3 times, and I'm quite Happy here in Pa.
Pic of my favorite ride wondering what's going on.
Blue skies to all, no matter where you live...... Roy

I think this thread just jinxed me.. I woke up this morning with 3 inches of snow and its still coming. Im pretty low elevation, so nobody was expecting it. So much for rebuilding the boat seat today! Im sure Ill get bored since Im not working today and go snap some shots of the lake for you SoCal'ers to be happy about the heat. :-\

I know the feeling, I have electric heaters blowing on my shelf of West Marine Epoxy and supplies and in the floor of the boat trying to heat up and speed up the cure time before i start today's work on it. ;)
